Very, very beautiful layered and meaningful stories on this album. It holds a captive of poverty, and incrimination against the youth of men in the lyrics, showing how terrible life is in the street, and even if you're trying your best, you're still held captive over the pride in your self, which you'll get shot for no reasons or a reason, because that how the story goes. Can never not give this album a lower score than 100, as it's possibly one of my favorite albums of all time, alongside Sign 'O' The Times and 1999, which fight for my top 5 position as they're both magical for their production and storytelling. But we're just focusing on Purple Rain right now as one of the best Rock albums in the 20th Century that cemented Prince's legacy throughout music and inspired many artists from Neo-Soul to Rap.
