Can never not give this album a lower score than 100, as it's possibly one of my favorite albums of all time, alongside Sign 'O' The Times and 1999, which fight for my top 5 position as they're both magical for their production and storytelling. But we're just focusing on Purple Rain right now as one of the best Rock albums in the 20th Century that cemented Prince's legacy throughout music and inspired many artists from Neo-Soul to Rap. He's 'one of ... read more
This album changed my mind about Christianity. I love every single bit of it! The references to biblical verses and twisting them to describe the end of humanity's sins are so beloved of a new beginning. I grew up with a religious family, in which I had high hopes for this, but I'm not too serious about being a Christian. An album of this changed my mind, but I'm still going to be the person I am, and the person I'm willing to fight for every bit instead of kneeling down for ... read more
A classic and favorite album of mine. The band's production and vocals showcase the start of the 90s with a bang. Every song connects like you're going through a Khalil Gibran journey of mystic choices. No skips!
Excellent album. The ending is possibly my favorite ending since it crumbles everything together. Good album, 9/10.
Rest in Peace. We're all gonna be listening to your music until humanity vanishes. SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH!!!!!
My favorite Tom Waits album, possibly my second favorite (Alice is my favorite in his whole discography). Wild adventures into this album with its whimsical, deliberate, obnoxious sounds that diminish into lyrics as a whole, which makes you imagine you're in his weird fur shows with no soles on the bottom. You're slowly stepping onto the land in Singapore, until you realize you've fallen within a circus parade of wildly weird people you know but don't. It's an awesome ... read more
I've listened to this album hundreds of times, and it still hits me intensely. One of the best albums of the 2000s, beautiful layered all across, as well as mixing everything from previous projects into one album that shows how capable they are!
10/10
Very, very beautiful layered and meaningful stories on this album. It holds a captive of poverty, and incrimination against the youth of men in the lyrics, showing how terrible life is in the street, and even if you're trying your best, you're still held captive over the pride in your self, which you'll get shot for no reasons or a reason, because that how the story goes. Men suicide and Women, are also a big concerning when living in a toxic household and environment around you ... read more
best beats and storytelling!!!!! (especially the 17th track, love the poetry)
This album is very fucking good I can't express how much I think about this without me being in any mood during the day, noon, or night. I have 10 albums in my head of certain sounds, lyrics, and environments that won't go away, but this album is definitely in the top 5. Profound lyrics I'm connected with, as I would also recommend this album for its best singer-songwriting lyrics. Thank you!
ANOTHER EXCELLENT REVIEW!!!! This album as a whole is like an expired cheese; you have to force yourself to eat, or you'll end up dying with the rest from an ongoing, deadly disease. That won't cure your self-doubts and confessions in need, I felt his pain in this album. It was pretty controversial of me to give the intro a 9.5, but the other 11 tracks are just beautifully layered with the instruments composing together that pieced this art. Honestly, this album makes me feel bad for ... read more
Very good jazz album, cured my headache...... (DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY BUT THE PIANIST AND DRUMMER ARE BEAUTIFUL)
A wonder mix of genres into one beautiful album. I love electronic mixtures, and this one does it; the world that Sweet Trip takes you to is a trip you won't forget (cliche memory). Every track will either make you overwhelmed with joy, riding around Rainbow Road like in Mario Kart, or end up being in a castle filled with memorabilia of past relationships, and each time you open the door, the castle has something inside of hurtful items you once loved so much, but end up closing it. So you ... read more
It's one of the greatest Latin albums I've heard. I stumbled upon this from seeing reviews of how beautiful this album is, I don't even want to call it an album but an art that has so many meanings behind it, it's very intriguing in a way. Recommended listen, I promise you won't waste your time.
