Russ - Who Wants What
70

Ab-Soul's back hurts so much after carrying this track...Cool simple beat and russ is fine I guess

Eminem - Kamikaze
70

For me at least, that's an actually pretty decent album. At first the production is finally really good, with lots of modern producers (Ronny J, MikeWillMadeIt, Tay Keith) this being my favorite production in an eminem album since Relapse. Also Eminem's rhyme schemes here are incredibly solid and some of his flows are fcking unstoppable. In terms of lyrics he has some hard hitting punchlines and wordplays but there are also tons of corny ass lines and some all over the place punchlines which ... read more

OutKast - Aquemini

NEAR PERFECT ALBUM FOR ME. This is just flawless. This album feels so futuristic, psychedelic and viby. Outkast bring their best, use some real instruments for the instrumentals, bring Raekwon and George Clinton for two dope features and the result? Top 5 albums period for me. This is almost a flawless body of work. It starts dope and it ends dope. And a lot of may critique me for this, but I actually liked Mamacita. And the weird thing is Im not a huge 90s and old school hip hop fan. But this ... read more

A$AP Rocky - LIVE.LOVE.A$AP
83

This is considered by many Rocky's best project. Well I dont agree much, but it is still a fcking dope breakout project. This introduced Rocky to the rap game and holy shit it is dope. Clams Casino's production is maybe the best production I have ever heard in a mixtape. If it wasnt for the production maybe it wouldnt be that great, but the beats in combination with Rocky's druggy delivery and voice make a great sonically experience. There are ofc some tracks that I didnt really care for, or I ... read more

A$AP Rocky - LONG.LIVE.A$AP
82

This is considered by many Rocky's best work and I can see maybe why, but for me no...Atlonglastasap is miles ahead, due to his cohesiveness, his psychedelic and aesthetic vibe, the great rapping from Rocky and the impressive features. Not that this album is bad, by no means this is a bad project. But there are some drawbacks comparing this to ALLA. But overall this is a really good trap flavored and cloud rap project. It begins with maybe my favorite Rocky intro and it rides the same trappy ... read more

A$AP Rocky - TESTING
75

This is maybe my least favorite Asap Rocky project, but that doesnt mean it is bad. I think Rocky has no bad projects. On this Rocky tries to test with different sounds and at some points for me he succeeds (Tony Tone, Distorted Records, Gunz n Butter), but there are some completely forgettable and not executed well songs too (Fukk Sleep, Hun43ed, OG Beeper). Overall there are a lot of good songs and gems that are worth the listen, but every now and then I face some songs, that I think they are ... read more

Eminem - Relapse

Such an overhated Em project. It is not his best work by far but it isnt bad either. This albums has the best production out of all of his albums, thanks to Dr Dre. There is a huge amount of good tracks, such as Beautiful, Deja vu, Stay Wide Awake, Crack a Bottle, Medicine Ball etc. A lot of people complain about his accent, but I didnt find it that annoying. At some points I think it helped the horror concept of the album too. There are some missteps, such as My Mom or Hello, but this is the ... read more

Post Malone - beerbongs & bentleys
70

This is surprisingly a really good project. Its not incredible, but there are a lot of highlights on it. The production is so smooth and melodic, with a lot of trap influences, and Post's performance isnt bad either. His rapping is mediocre, but his vocals on the choruses are actually impressive. There are some tracks that I would skip them easily, but as a whole the taste that album leaves me is pleasant. For me it is better than Stoney and a more artistic experience imo.

OutKast - Stankonia
86

This album is so ahead of his time. I listen to it in 2018 and it still sounds fresh smh. Andre 3000 incredible rhyme schemes , Big boi's raps and those fresh and pleasant beats just make a perfect combination for me. This album is just phenomenal. I really love what they did with this album and I like that it gets so much praise. It definetely deserves it. Also there were some songs I didnt really care for, but they didn't bother me at all. Such a great album, instant classic. U can see how ... read more

Joey Bada$$ - ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$
80

Joey's best work to date and in my top 3 of 2017 albums. This is a really good body of work. It is conscious about America's current state, about black people and it gets emotional at some points. Joey's performance is actually really good in the majority of this project. My main complaint that at some point the album was kinda boring and the beats didnt help at all and I wanted Joey to be more aggressive and energetic such as in Rockabye Baby or Ring the Alarm. I really understand the emotion ... read more

Migos - Culture
80

This is my 2nd favotire trap project after Rodeo. When I listened to this I was pleasantly surprised by Migos. At first the production was really really good and it wasn't monotone and boring at all. It had some generic trap beats, it had some piano based beats and oh my god the deadz orchestra beat is fcking phenomenal. Migos' performance is not bad either. The fact that they are three and they can change roles make the album less monotone and boring and really makes it more versitile. For ... read more

Nas - NASIR
65

I have very mixed feelings for this. On the one hand, the production is amazing, the choruses in almost every song are so powerful and epic and Nas' rapping isn't that bad. On the other hand, the lack of topic, Nas' offbeat flow at some points and his boring delivery and the fact that for my ears those beats werent for Nas made me didnt love this project. Dont get me wrong it's still a good project, but thats it. Not amazing, not whack just a good project. I was kinda disappointed, but I can't ... read more

The ultimate experimental album of the 2010s. At first I found it kinda weird and not well structured, but the more I listened to it the more I was getting into this chaotic vibe. I LOVED the production on this, it is so messy and noisy that make me bang my head again and again. The rapping actually is not impressive and to be honest I barely could hear what MC Ride was saying, but at the end it didn't mind me to hear what he was talking about. Just the sound of this album is so pleasantly ... read more

Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music
80

This is the Ice Cube of our generation. A gangsta, arrogant, fuck the system project by the incredible rapper Killer Mike. Almost every verse on here sounds great. His delivery in combination with El-p's production is amazing. There were some few moments that I didn't really care for, but the whole energy delivered by Killer Mike, the beats by El-p and the topics of this album made me love it. Great body of work for our generation.

Ab-Soul - Control System
83

This is an amazing album. I really love Ab-Soul's delivery and attitude. The beats on this at first I found them kinda weird, but the more I listened to it, the more I liked them. Ab-Soul's rapping is incredible, with clever punchlines and wordplay, amazing rhymes and unstoppable flow. There some times that I was kinda underwhelmed, for example for me the tracks 10 to 13 were completely skippable and unneseccary and the first two verses on the opening tracks were so lazy, but other than that ... read more

ScHoolboy Q - Blank Face LP
83

This is Q's best work to date. That's the definition of a hard, gangster west coast album. The whole sound of the album, combined with Schoolboy's delivery is just amazing. The production is near perfect for me, Schoolboy's performance is actually impressive, but it gets kinda repetitive at some points, but the features except Kanye are all impressive. From Vince Staples and Jadakiss to E-40 and SZA the feature add a lot to this album. I really like this album. My only complaint is that it kinda ... read more

YG - Still Brazy
82

This is the ultimate west coast g-funk album of the 2010s. It is a really underrated project. The production really reminds me of good old 90s g funk dre beats, although I preferred DJ Mustard. YG's performance is good too. His verses are not incredible, but they aren't whack either. There is a plenty of catchy and really great hooks here, which ride the whole gangsta vibe of the album. The skits also help the theme of the album flow well and work as an intro to the next song each. The features ... read more

Vince Staples - Big Fish Theory
83

Amazing album, my 2nd favotire of 2017 and my personal favorite Vince Staples album. The experimentation on this album works really well, as there is a huge amount of weird but pleasant sounds. The album starts very ambitiously with the song "Crabs in the bucket" and then it goes hard with "Big Fish". Then it kinda gets a bit downwards with Alyssa Interlude and Love Can Be, but this is the only time on this album I feel that. Then almost every track is pure fire and really ... read more

Eminem - The Slim Shady LP
85

Classic Eminem, his breakout project with Dr.Dre which pissed a lot of people. The whole concept of the project is "fuck the world". The truth is there are some uninteresting songs and the main reason is either Em's immature voice or some lackluster beats, but overall this is a really enjoyable project. For me it is not as good as MMLP or TES, but there are some elements I really like. For example, the whole Shady persona Em portrays many people may find offensive, but I find it ... read more

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP2
78

The most underrated Eminem project EVER! This album is really good. It really feels like a MMLP sequel. This album has a huge variaton of things Em talks about. It starts with an amazing Stan sequel, in which Em serves us a phenomenal last verse. The album continues, talking about his father, Kim, his mother his impact and also some funny stories too. The execution is not perfect, cuz some beats sound unfinished or messed and some choruses are boring and annoying. But Eminem's performance, ... read more
