Look, so I think that all of the instrumentals are dope, and the fact that it has three is even dope, but I really think Ryan ruins the track. No disrespect, but in the first rap part he’s really struggling to keep up. That’s not a good thing and isn’t personally a charm for me.
I also think, as other’s have pointed out, that he’s biting darkie hard here. But like, the hardest I’ve heard him bite darkie. He even adopts the same tone in which darkie screams ... read more
Painfully generic song, with painfully average sex lyrics, and an actually decent vocalist. Too bad she’s used painfully averagely.
One of the most emotionally potent songs I’ve heard. Ed’s vocals go from broken and distorted, to loud and clear as the song progresses and it makes for such a beautiful climax.
The lyrics are so cleverly written to portray life moving on, which makes this such a trip to come back to whenever it’s on my playlist or I get a craving for it.
Absolutely chaotic, beautiful song.
The best Disney film since Meet The Robinsons!
-is what I would say if this was a film review, but since it’s a soundtrack album review, I’ll just say why I adored this as well.
In the context of the film, this blends so well with its at times jazzy soundscapes, and at other times Trent will bring in synthy ambient pieces with pretty warm and cozy soundscape.
Speaking of Trent Reznor, I was really surprised to find out he did this soundtrack, considering his work with Nine Inch ... read more
Kurt’s singing always felt so powerful to me. His voice can go from angelic to nasal screaming and it always sounds emotional and smooth to me. And Kurt had enough experience to write the no doubt interesting and introspective lyrics he inevitably wrote. This song is absolutely no exception with the low key bass carrying the instrumental, and a guitar that blends in a bit (in a good way), and really shines in the chorus.
Kurt also shines in the chorus with some loud vocals and a nice ... read more
You know, for how overplayed this song is around this time, it really just reminds me of christmas joy, nostalgia, and it ain’t actually a bad song on its own.
merry christmas chicks and boys
Yeah, I just blatantly disregarded this song when I gave it a 75. That’s a mockery to this song, and while it’s not Eminem’s best and it’s quite a bit overplayed, it’s still a legendary song that will probably be studied somewhere eventually.
The worst thing about this is that it’s cringely unfunny. Like the dude tries really hard.
Christ this is good. This guy put so much effort into it, and he actually has talent too. It’s not like those Minecraft parody albums with a bad singer or rapper.
This man can instrumentalise with his voice, sing, and rap.
And while I honestly haven’t listened to Igor, and I listened to this a lot since a week ago, I think this is fantastic.
Hopefully this doesn’t get ruined by the new Anthony Fantano review of it, but I’ll still enjoy this either way.
WEEZER | CHAPTER ONE
Weezer is a band I didn’t know I would like, and honestly, I hadn’t really heard anything from this band as I thought this. And once I heard a song from their 2014 record, “Everything Will Be Alright In The End” I thought that this band might appeal to me in some way.
It did, however, take a few months to even listen to a full album by this group. Well, to be honest with you I wish I had sooner.
Okay, okay, getting a little ahead of myself, but ... read more
Not only grants me tons of nostalgia, it's also insanely catchy and has very tight writing (like Recovery).
The californian punk rock outfit's 2004 hit is looked down upon a lot on here quite unfairly.
I often see that people will say that the plot is messy or written poorly, or is a political album that turns into a boring love story, but I believe people are missing the very point of this record.
Sure, this album can get fairly political (American Idiot) (Holiday), but the plot isn't sorely political. Actually, It's a story of Rebellion and Growing Up. We see this story through the Jesus Of ... read more
Honestly, I really like this beat and I think the ominous loop really fits for the horrorcore type vibe, but...
Unfortunately, I think both verses and the chorus are fairly weak, as the verses fall flat with some cheap ad-libs and lyrics that just don't fit the track's vibe, and the chorus just doesn't do much for me.
Decent work guys. I definitely see potential!
Actually unlistenable.
Kanye's voice on this is grading and messy, the production is okay, and these lyrics are actually atrocious.
Lil Darkie just has a really infectious and satisfying performance on this track.
Like, I honestly cannot get this song out of my head.
Who knew a song about panic attacks and not being in control of your head could make for such a catchy song?
Essentially, I can relate to Billie Joe heavily on here, much like other songs by them. Not for the panic attacks, but the losing your head part.
Sometimes I am a Basket Case and this song kinda helps me embrace that in a way.
