TWENTY ONE PILOTS | CHAPTER FIVE
ㄒ尺乇几匚卄 (or how to come full circle)
Over the span of three years lead singer Tyler Joseph spent some time away from any major music releases, despite setting up a two year schedule of releases (like Self Titled to Regional and Regional to Vessel, etc). The only things to come from this spare time were a loose single, a cover, a remix album and a live album. But what we didn’t know from their extra year off was that they were planning ... read more
I mean, it’s a cute summer song with a definite heart and personality, and the backing acoustic is quirky while the drums are barely existent. Though, it does get fairly cringey at points with lines about her rear end and overripe peaches and how she’s a prettier jesus, and it isn’t a very engaging listen the whole way through but certainly a good song despite me only hearing her biggest song Royals.
Better in every single way than 98% of songs from Van Weezer. Reminds me heavily of EWBAITE which is great thing at this point for Weezer.
Fuck you @Nightwing734
So this album is basically if you were to rip off Korn, Marilyn Manson, and Mindless Self Indulgence, but rip them off really badly. And especially MSI: they even do the ordered tracklist shtick and the weird accents, but again they rip these groups and artists off really bad. But this project also has its unique elements, such as weird 80’s piano ballad breakdowns on like every song and it gets really formulaic. Though these portions are some of the most decent ... read more
A funny piece of late 90’s comedy rock with jokey half-rapping and fun lyrics about Jimmy Pop’s small penis and his wigger act being on point.
Nothing can describe this song more than bliss. It’s comforting, familiar, and warm, but looking deeper than that it’s a sad song about trying to make your way through life and failing at providing something stable for yourself, inevitably falling into a dark path.
In the trend of the nurture chat users making music (most of it not being the best) user Matt actually makes a surprisingly good Joji rip-off song. He’s actually got the Joji voice down but the only thing that really brings this down is that it sounds exactly like Ew from Nectar by Joji. I was fine with it being a copy, but then I can’t help but think of Ew. Still, there’s some good singing on display here and a pleasant test of Matt’s talents.
TWENTY ONE PILOTS | CHAPTER FOUR
Despite breaking and selling records, this album is sort of another mixed bag, albeit a better one than Regional. The performances and production are improved but the boys take some steps back in focusing on a trendy 2015 pop flavoring over their normal sound, and sometimes implementing some less than favorable trends from this period into songs. It’s also not all that replayable due to a sort of rocky tracklist that’s rather frontloaded and ... read more
One of the catchiest and hard hitting songs of the 90’s and at points Dave even reminds me of Kurt which makes it all the more saddening. Personally I think the song might have something to do with Kurt which, if true, is very very sweet.
Also, cmon, that drop? You can’t tell me the drop doesn’t feel powerful.
I really want to thank everyone involved (as well as specially thank Tyler and Josh) for creating such a fun, entertaining, and insanely well made digital concert. It really made me want to relisten to Scaled And Icy and greatly remixed older songs (and in some cases improved them like the songs from the 2015-2016 era).
That’s all for now, but very very very soon I will be covering 2015’s Blurryface, 2018’s Trench, and 2021’s Scaled And Icy.

Yeah, I mean it’s fine. It definitely sounds good aside from the vocals, which I still think fit the vibe. My problem being that it all sounds similar and that gets very boring near the end, especially when some songs are around 5 minutes long. It’s definitely not bad and as a debut it’s decent.
Tyler what the hell? How did you manage to make one of your worst songs in awhile after releasing two really good singles?
This is painfully generic, disappointing, and as someone who physically purchased the album, makes me really worry.
Don’t care, love this song.
It’s like real cute and I just love the sound. Especially those record scratches. I love record scratches.
It’s kind of like nu metal but like rock and like way happier and sweeter.
Guys, I’m gonna be real and say that I like Nickelback.
I do think they can be generic, but that’s probably the worst they get. I personally think that they’re catchy and I like Chad Kroeger’s voice actually. This song especially is great.
I mean, don’t be surprised. Dunkey’s been spitting bars like this for years spanning multiple songs.
Not as good as Knack 2 by any means, but solid.
So cringey and fake deep.
Probably the worst tik tok song or one of them.
WEEZER | CHAPTER FIFTEEN
I’m not going to retype this review because I was finished and it erased itself but I will just say that this is a boring, annoying, watered down, cringey, lame version of the Van Halen sound with absolutely awful lyrics and a few good songs and that one fantastic breakdown on 1 More Hit. That’s it. They screwed you and me over for two years (granted I’ve been waiting one but still) and Precious Metal Girl is their worst song ever.

TWENTY ONE PILOTS | CHAPTER THREE
2013’s Vessel is an electro pop rock masterpiece. Plain and simple. It still holds that creativity that Self Titled and spots on Regional At Best held, and this is best shown in the production, of which borrows from a plethora of genres. Those genres ranging from hip hop to reggae to electronic dance music, and the album pulls off all this without feeling messy, which is thanks to how airtight it is, and it was most definitely handled with care judging ... read more
