I’m sorry, I don’t wanna rain on anyone’s parade but I hate this album. Like seriously. I don’t even like Soul/70’s R&B in the first place, let alone two mediocre goobers trying to recreate it in 2021, so I think the outcome is a very boring, corny, repetitive and pointless waste of time. This seriously may be one of my least favorite albums ever and I’m not joking. It’s not like this is a left field album because both artists have shown desire for ... read more

Yeah, you guessed it. The odds were practically stacked against this album. Their last album was pretty mediocre and while adventurous and not horrible, still an album that just felt like a band getting old and feeling directionless. This album to 2010 is what TALITM was to 2003. A generic retreading of what they’ve already done, just slightly modernized and worse. Like seriously these lyrics are unbearably generic at times (though good at times), the instrumentals ... read more

Untitled (or Korn 2 as I call it) sadly and plainly ends what could’ve been an amazing streak of experimental albums, and while it’s still rather adventurous and experimental it’s in a way less fun way than their last album, 2005’s See You On The Other Side. It has some quite incredible moments but as a whole there’s only a couple of tracks that click with me fully, as they seem to be fully absorbed in making it as atmospheric and ... read more
Hey guys, I’m RainbowWizard and I want to have a lot of gay sex with Jpegmafia and despite me being underage and lacking any actual funny commentary or good writing I’m gonna get 300 likes on this review. Peggy? More like beg me to stop making people uncomfortable and actually write creative reviews lol xd among us sus?
The Black Parade is probably my favorite album of all time.
Now that I’ve made that clear I should say I actually really like this cover. I think it’s pretty vibey and atmospheric. And of course it’s nowhere near as good as the original, but I really enjoy the self titled-esque soundscape of the synths. When the chorus kicks in with the rumbly bass and trap drum it’s almost bliss in music form in my opinion.
Basically both versions are just for two different people ... read more
Surprised I didn’t listen to this song sooner because not only is it really relatable in general (not wanting the good times to end) but it’s also just really good. Like Dave Grohl sounds amazing on this song. It might even be better than My Hero which is saying something.
Also that music video is amazing.
KOЯN | CHAPTER SEVEN AND A HALF
In 2006, Korn in my eyes were at the top of their game. Fresh off one of their best and most experimental albums, I don’t blame Korn for essentially giving us a victory lap. But don’t get me wrong this is a pretty solid victory lap. There’s some truly gorgeous moments on here like the wonderfully picked Hollow Life. This isn’t a shocking move either seeing as SYOTOS had some Acoustic moments as well, showing off a more delicate side of ... read more
I’m gonna say another predictable doom statement and tell you guys I absolutely HATE this song.
Generic tik tok pop vile blah blah blah.
Derivative Tik Tok core with basic drum and bass to make people think it’s more interesting than it actually is.

Alongside one half of Nine Inch Nails, Atticus Ross, California natives Korn create one of their most atmospheric and experimental albums yet. While I consider Korn fairly distant from Nu Metal, falling under the Alternative Metal category 99% of the time, even people who dislike Korn or write them off as Nu Metal have to agree that this is far more complex than a lot of people in the Metal scene at the time. Hell, this album is barely even metal showing off the ... read more
As much as I respect the original Fred web show in a nostalgic way, and enjoy the Fred films in a semi-ironic semi-not way this is terribly cringey and obnoxious. Ironic, huh?
Everything goes wrong here. Every song sounds the same, it’s all tik tok core, and Lil Nas constantly trying to get a hit song by making every song sound very similar to the main two hits of the album. The lyrics are bland, the mixing isn’t very good, and it’s all pretty derivative of other artists like Travis Scott and there’s a part where he even steals the melody of Mockingbird by Eminem. I could be wrong but I swear he stole it, listen for yourself I guess. But yeah ... read more

Take A Look In The Mirror is everything I didn’t want Korn to do. A boring, formulaic, generic rip-off of their previous record Untouchables which came out a year prior. Essentially the album follows of a simple formula of Jonathan singing soft vocals on the chorus with a more “enchanting” tone to the usually generic riffs, and hard vocals in the chorus. I will say, Jonathan’s screaming has gotten better, but it also still ruins some tracks as ... read more

It seems like there’s a common theme here. Every time they switch producers they have a new sound. Maybe it’s the producer pushing them, or it’s the band wanting to try new things, but either way I really enjoy this album. It’s just the band testing out a newer sound, showing that they haven’t run dry of ideas yet. I must say too, this record might be a little less or just as experimental as Issues was, because here they go for a more ... read more
Sounds like a flex entertainment release, but like, if it wasn’t rap. And it was serious.
KOЯN | CHAPTER FOUR
Remember in my Follow The Leader review when I said that Korn will need to reinvent themselves and put out a more experimental album if they still want to be a good band? Well, I feel that this is that album. I don’t know what it was, maybe it was a creative spark amongst band members or maybe the new producer pushed them out of their box, but this album is very unique to their discography.
Firstly, I think Jonathan’s vocals have matured very well, as he grew ... read more
