Genuinely the worst album I’ve ever heard.
This is everything he did on his last album but more fake, more generic, more edgy, more cringey. Man, I really have no words. My head is hurting and I don’t ever wanna go near this again.
When Gunna is the best thing on your album you know you did horribly wrong.
WEEZER | CHAPTER SIXTEEN
I’m just gonna say it right now I despise this release. Weezer has been on a downward decline since 2017, despite reviving themselves for 2021’s OK Human, and then going back to their ways on Van Weezer later that year (which proves OK Human a fluke). When I heard that they’d be doing something more experimental like releasing four LPs in one year (later revealed to be four EPs) I was excited. It seemed like they’d be doing more of the bold and ... read more
Rivers Cuomo has, once again, killed all my hype for one of his projects.
Seriously, more lame pop garbage? At least the last record which I didn’t like had something a little different like a cheesy 80’s metal aesthetic. This? Well this just sounds like anyone else could’ve made it. What this and the All My Favorite Songs remix show me is that OK Human was the ultimate fluke and that Winter is the only EP of these planned four that looks good right now.
I’m actually ... read more

here’s my new EP under a new alias. made it to hold over people since I’m not ready to make another album yet and to see if people like this sorta sound. More reviews and music to come.
It’s also dawned upon me that it is the two year anniversary of my account today so I’d really like to thank you all for the support through this bumpy two year ride. :)
Knowing what it’s like to have your work rated poorly I will be respectful to Ryde and be fair with my criticism.
Despite some cool soundscapey atmospheric moments (mostly in the back half), and a clear drain gang influence that sets this apart from other aoty music (even if I don’t really like drain gang), this mixtape just feels..well, boring. I feel this way because there’s a certain aspect to where these experimental inclusions feel somewhat tacked on and what you have ... read more
DEFTONES | CHAPTER THREE
Has it really been a year since I promised a white pony review? Guess I must’ve forgot.
In the recording of their third studio album many changes happened. Many necessary changes. One, Chino hopped on guitar. Two, they added a turntable to the equation (but not in the lousy tinny way like many nu metal bands before and after them). And three, they were sick of being stuffed in the nu metal category with bands like Drowning Pool and Coal Chamber and like their ... read more
I think we all just need a moment to collectively check in on each other. How is everyone doing today (or tonight)?
Perception is a very harmful thing. We, as humans, care more about how people perceive us then how we actually feel about ourselves. So, when my sophomore release dropped that February 1st and I used to the damned school computer to see what people thought of it and I saw a big 47 there, I was heartbroken. And the score would never truly get higher. It would only go up to around a 59 but begin a decline as more negative ratings dropped in. When I was done with the record I thought that people ... read more
I’d like to really thank you all for getting my Requiem review to the most popular reviews section. That means a lot to me and really validates a fun little hobby of mine. I’d also like to really thank you all for just general support like commenting that you liked a review or giving feedback on my reviews or even giving my album a rate. I’ve been on this site for nearly two years and it’s starting to really feel like I’ve built up a little thing here, as corny as ... read more
No words can really describe how good this song is. Despite me not hearing The Downward Spiral, I know for certain this is the climactic depressive closer it deserves. The song is a journey through the narrator’s mind (whether that be Trent or whatever character this album is about) and that mind is a depraved space of self destruction and reflection. By design, with the fuzzy and noisey soundscape combined with a harpy backing loop and what seems to be some sort of guitar and piano, ... read more
KOะฏN | CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Ahh, Korn. One of the most wild, bold and inconsistent bands to come from the metal scene. They could even almost be compared to Weezer sort of (I do find Korn to be more tight with their discography). Let’s face it, there’s always ups and downs for this bands and always a neat little tale for each record. 1994’s Korn was the product of young outsiders who wanted or maybe needed to get out their pain. 1996’s Life Is Peachy was, while insanely ... read more
Singlehandedly got me into metal.
Funny how I used to think Slipknot was this scary, massively loud and heavy band, though.
I can credit both this song and Freak On A Leash for really getting me to like metal and I’m glad because it truly is one of the most interesting genres there is (most of the time).
Anyways, funny Corey man scream rap at my face and call me bitch boy ah
Anyways x2 my requiem or white pony review will be dropping soon and I’m hype to write either or!
This is genuinely my favorite single from the album so far and I would’ve never expected that.
Like that quieter bridge-y part genuinely sounds like something from the issues era.
but overall really catchy and fun song that is definitely convincing me that one, Requiem will be great (or at least good), and two, they’ve once again changed their sound. And that is all I ask for from Korn.
(Probably my least favorite single now. A little less memorable. Still like it tho)

(Score for deluxe CD as a whole: including packaging and bonus track)
Even besides the weird box packaging, and the 100+ photo gallery, 50 minute documentary and weird cardboard sleeves the CD and film are in, Sing Sorrow is a banger and should’ve been included on the CD proper.
