I've been pretty much active on this profile lately, because yes I am listening to a lot of music. Out of all the albums I have listened to in these days I feel like this is the one that stuck with me the most. I deadass did not expect it to be that beautiful. Deep lyricism, dreamy soundscapes, psychedelic sounds mixed with a strong sense of introspection and nostalgia. It's like I'm listening to the Argentinian version of Nick Drake, but they're kinda better, more ... read more
It's impossible for me to think of a lower score. Even if I'm not the biggest fan of the harmonica parts the entire work is so cohesive that it ends up being simply perfect.
From the rushed, funky and chaotic intro "Tank!" to the minimal and melancholic "Memory" the soundtrack offers some of the best melodies I've ever listened to in my entire life. Even songs with the most simple structure ever (like Memory as I already said or Cosmos) are filled with so ... read more
Perverts, to me you are not terrifying but weirdly comforting. I feel like I'm navigating through my deepest traumas and memories of the past that cannot be erase, but I'm not scared this time, I don't want to leave them.
Ethel Cain is seriously one of the most talented people of our generation and no matter if the mainstream is going to get her, they cannot steal this beautiful work to us because they will end up calling it 'too weird'.
And yes, it is too weird, but ... read more
Good lord for some reason my insane mind convinced me that I need to listen to all of the 39 Takanaka's albums. I thankfully already listened to Seychelles, An Insatiable High and Brasilian Skies, however I randomly landed on this one while deep surfing this website and I decided to listen to it.
There's not much to say, it's pretty good and great for background musically, definitely fitting a more "nighttime" vibe, however I feel like it's a bit dated. I mean ... read more
my first 2026 review! This is the only JR album I've never checked out for no particular reason, and I was dead wrong for this because it's so good!! Definitely feels more chill than Revengeseekerz and more mature than Frailty.
Fav songs:
-Fling (my absolute favorite from here)
- Idling Somewhere
- Video (long but it's worth it)
It's impossible to find a proper rating for this album. I feel like someone either loves it or hates it and it's definitely not an accessible listen. I personally enjoyed it a lot but mainly from a conceptual point of view rather than the musical part. I feel like I mostly enjoyed parts of it but not the entire product itself.
Daydream Nation feels like a massive fever dream, the songs are noisy and disturbing, and they all kinda have the same musical pattern but with different ... read more
All the songs sound the same, it's so bland and saturated that it feels way longer than 56 minutes.
Might really be one of the best albums of all time. I'm personally not the biggest house fan but this album is different, it's life changing and no matter how many people can praise it, it really deserves all the hype.
I can't find any bad song in it, I was vibing from the beginning to the end with some classics like One More time and Digital Love and more underrated songs like Superheroes and High Life.
PLZZZ listen to it if you have never checked it out like seriously ... read more
In a few words, this is REALLY 90s. Does this make sense? I don't know other terms to describe it. In general, it's pretty good and if I have to be honest I prefer the dream pop side of it instead of the alt rock one. It kinda reminds me of The Breeders except this one has a slightly darker atmosphere to me.
Fav song: low red moon
Insanely beautiful and underrated slowcore album from this year. I can't believe no one talked about this online? Where is everyone? I think I need a few more listens to consider it one of the best releases of 2025, but I highly recommend to check it out because it's seriously mesmerizing.
Fav song: Sadie (slowcore perfection. So sad and nostalgic, from 3.50 it becomes crazy)
Bonus points for the album cover, to me it's cool af
The musical definition of "don't judge a book by its cover".
Most songs have a bit of chaotic energy and perfectly fit for the coming of age movie vibe, they are fun, filled with energy and many different emotions, but it also has a more melancholic and bittersweet side, that it's the one I actually enjoyed the most. I've never heard of this artist before but for some reason she reminds me a lot of Jane Remover, even if the vibes are very different (but idk how I still ... read more
I know this is the most controversial opinion ever, but it might be a little bit too...overrated? I remember listening to this album many years ago but I forgot most of the songs, so I revisited it today, with very high expectations (I love metaphorical music and other works from him) that was unfortunately a bit disappointed.
I can't find a proper rating to this album because I don't find it parricularly exciting, however Feather, Reflection eternal and Luv sic pt 3 are genuinely ... read more
fire album cover but the music ain't it except for a few standout tracks
Tears are running on my face while I'm writing this. Terrifying album but yet so beautiful and intimate, it's like she's expressing in music how brutal and disturbing life is and how it feels to not recognize yourself in your own body.
One of her deepest and greatest releases ever, we are never going to have anything like this again.
Music that makes your heart ache. I don't even consider it a shoegaze album because this is basically a mix of many different music genres including electronic music, rock and some sort of lo-fi too.
I don't know enough words to describe what this album felt like to me, but it's absolutely incredible. It's like listening to an old memory and trying to catch it to experience it again, but you already know it's too late so the only thing you can do is sit in silence and ... read more
