YES!!! This is incredible for a debut album, especially considering that it's not the typical basic pop album that sounds always the same, but it brings in something fresh, following this new wave of pop music that is coming back better than ever.
She reminds me a lot of 90s Madonna to be honest, but in a more mainstream way, and I'm totally obsessed!

- Diet Pepsi: the single that changed everything
- Money is everything: this should have been a single
- Fame is a Gun: ... read more
I'm just on song #5 and this is already one of the worst albums I have ever listened to
Beautiful. Feels like falling down a skyscraper but instead of reaching the ground and dying you enter a dimension where everything feels fine and you can play with the child version of yourself for the last time
I can't understand how the scores for this album are this high, because this is one of the most unbearable pieces of music I have ever listened to. I am a big Trip- Hop fan so of course I knew who Tricky is, since I've heard his feature on "Karmacoma" from Massive Attack which is, by the way, one of my favorite song from them, and this album was my first approach to his solo music. From the first 5 songs I was already not the biggest fan of it, but still kinda enjoyed it ... read more
Definitely the most random thing I’ve ever listened to, not my thing but overall I enjoyed it ! Very good for studying (and cleaning, although I can’t imagine church cleaners actually listening for that for almost two hours, they would probably get both sad or bored)
Kazu has seriously one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, she has that weird magical energy combined with a sense of sweet melancholy that very few singers can replicate, as shown in Elephant Woman, Misery is a butterfly and Equus. I really loved Amedeo's voice too!!! Insane album. It will definitely become a 100 in my future listens.
When I saw the album cover I thought that I was going to hate this album.
Now it's one of the most beautiful, charming and magic things I've ever listened to. It makes me feel like a princess in a castle.
Not bad but not even that good, some songs are incredibly cute and sweet and I appreciate their simplicity, however there are a few tracks where the singer is pretty much off key and it's honestly a bit underwhelming
Even if it's a bit strange and unusual it has some Dean Blunt vibes mixed with a melancholic alt-rock sound that definitely reminds me of the 2000s, even if it came out pretty recently. I liked it a lot and I wish it was longer
I THIIIINK IT'S ALMOST CRIMEEEEEES
I only knew this album because of the song Almost Crimes. When I was way more active on the instagram music community I followed a page that posted that song on his stories claiming that this was one of the best albums ever made and that it helped him finding himself.
I became instantly obsessed with the song because it gave me such a depressing vibe that was exactly the type of music I was into during that time. Here I am, five years later, finally ... read more
The problem with this album it's just that at some point it becomes incredibly boring. I only listened to it because someone on Tik Tok put it into the Shibuya-kei genre chart, but it doesn't even sound like a Shibuya-kei album, it's a mix of pop and hip hop that sounds good in a few songs, then it just becomes unforgettable and boring.
Best songs:
- long kiss goodbye; the most popular song and definitely the best one on the album
- endless night
-my sweet darlin
Definitely the weirdest album I've ever listened to. This is experimental but in a way you couldn't even imagine, it's like mixing Boards of Canada and Danny Brown together. Sometimes it sounds incredibly majestic, sometimes it's very unsettling and creepy.
Not everyone could like it tho, and I can understand why, it's pretty long and the songs' structure makes no sense, when you think they have ended they've literally just begun, a single song can change its ... read more
I've never cried this much for a first listen. I thought that I've always needed more time to appreciate and understand the music I was listening to, but in this occasion I realized that this was the one. That one album that perfectly encapsulates everything that you have lost and everything that you will lose, or gain in the future to fill the voids of your past. It feels like changing-but in a way where you're afraid of doing it- and coming to the point of your life where you ... read more
I know it's a pretty high ranking for a first listen but I got immediately captured by this album and the little monster in me was reborn again!! MAYHEM is so fun, loud and full of energy, I hope I'll hear it in the clubs soon because I can't wait to dance to all of these songs. The ballads are catchy too, even if they're not my favorite part of the album, I think the highlights are definitely Abracadabra, Garden of Eden, Killah, Zombieboy and Shadow of a man
She raised all of us tumblr girls who wanted to be different ๐ข
I've never really listened to this album in full and it's crazy to do it at 20, but here I am. It could've been a perfect album if it wasn't for its length...most of the songs are good but there are a few that don't really match the album vibe and she could have simply cut them off
Umm...what's going on?
It's not THAT bad, but I feel like something is missing. I've always been a Sophie fan and I like almost everything that she has ever put out, but this posthumous album doesn't really give her justice. There are some songs that are fun and groovy, others that are just boring and repetitive.
The main problem here are the first four songs, to me they ruin the ENTIRE vibe of the album. I was really annoyed by them especially the one with Nina Kraviz ... read more
One of the best mixtapes ever made. The title is pop 2 because to me this is exactly what Pop music should sound like: fun, emotional, groovy and creative. Every single song is a bop, the only one I wasn't really a fan of is Backseat but it's still an amazing track.
