Chad VanGaalen - Soft Airplane

This album is fantastic! I'm surprised by how underrated Chad VanGaalen is. My favourite tracks are Willow Tree, Phantom Anthills, and Rabid Bits of Time. It's a 9/10 for me.

Elliott Smith - Figure 8

This album is Elliott Smith's best work. The production is amazing, and I love the orchestration; it reminds me of what George Martin did with The Beatles. A fun fact: this was recorded at Abbey Road. Everything Reminds Me of Her and Everything Means Nothing to Me is the best two songs in sequence on any album I've heard. They work perfectly together. The opener, Son of Sam, is amazing; Smith was great at starting and ending albums. This is the greatest album I've ever listened to. It's ... read more

Elliott Smith - From a Basement on the Hill

This is my fourth favorite album from Elliott Smith. The songs on this album are amazing; it sounds much heavier than his other albums. Sadly, it was left unfinished. My favorite tracks are Let's Get Lost, A Fond Farewell, King's Crossing, and Twilight. Stickman, Suicide Machine, and Abused were supposed to be on this album; they're unreleased Elliott Smith songs. His family omitted them, which is really unfortunate because those unreleased songs are some of the best he's ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR

This album is great, but I think it's overrated. My favourite tracks are I Think, A Boy is a Gun, and Gone, Gone/Thank You. For me, it's an 8/10. I think Playboi Carti's verse on Earfquake ruins the song.

Radiohead - OK Computer

This album is solid; it's definitely a step up from The Bends. However, I find it to be somewhat overrated. It's good, but it's not the greatest album of all time, as some claim. My favourite tracks are Paranoid Android, Exit Music (For A Film), and Karma Police. The weakest song on this album, in my opinion, is Electioneering; it just doesn't sound right. Nonetheless, the rest of the album is great. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. In Rainbows is a lot better.

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS

I really like this album; the songs are catchy. However, I'd enjoy it more if auto-tune wasn't used on her vocals, and if the production was more stripped back. My favorite tracks are Vampire and Teenage Dream. Some songs like Pretty Isn't Pretty aren't very memorable. It's an 7/10 for me. I'm excited to see what she does for her next album; she's very talented.

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

This album is amazing; it's better than anything The Beatles ever made. Brian Wilson is truly brilliant. My favourite tracks are You Still Believe in Me, That's Not Me, and God Only Knows. There are no weak points on this album; every song is perfect. It's a 10/10 for me. I really wish Brian Wilson finished his follow-up to this album, Smile. It sounds like it would've been even better.

Elliott Smith - Either/Or

This is the album that got me hooked on Elliott Smith's music; it's amazing. My favorite tracks are Between the Bars, Pictures Of Me, "Angeles, 2:45 AM, and Say Yes. Say Yes is definitely Elliott's greatest album closer; it's an incredible song. The chord progression is really similar to For No One by The Beatles; you can really hear the influence. I love the vocal layering with the harmonies and double-tracked vocals. The songwriting on this album is about his alcoholism and depression, ... read more

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There

This album is fantastic. I see why people pick it as the best album of 2022. I think Quadeca's album from 2022 is better, but this one is still great. My favourite tracks are Concorde, Haldern, Mark's Theme, and Snow Globes. Overall, it's a perfect album, with no weak points, scoring a solid 10/10.

Jeff Buckley - Grace

This album is fantastic. My favorites from it are Grace, and So Real. Those songs are absolutely amazing. Overall, I'd rate it an 8/10. However, I plan to revisit it soon, so that rating might change.

I'd rate this album a solid 10/10; it's simply excellent.

The Brave Little Abacus - just got back from the discomfort—we're alright

This album is just incredible. It's like nothing else out there, truly one of a kind. Every song is amazing. My favourite tracks are The Blah Blah Blahs, Untitled (Cont.), and Bug-Infested Floorboards Can We Please Just Leave This Place Now. Honestly, this is one of the greatest albums of all time.

Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

This album is truly amazing; there's not a single weak song on it. It's a definite 10/10 for me. My favourite tracks are In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, Holland, 1945, Oh Comely, and Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven!

This album is absolutely incredible. My favorite track from it is Sleep. It's a solid 10/10 with no weak points. I adore the buildups in the songs; they take you on a captivating journey.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

While there are many great songs on this album, I personally prefer Revolver, I find this album a bit overrated. Standout tracks for me include Lucy In The Sky with Diamonds, She's Leaving Home, and A Day in the Life. However, I must say, John Lennon's verse on Getting Better is actually quite awful; it detracts from the song.

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP

While this album features some great songs, the use of slurs has not aged well, which is why I won't rate it higher.

This album is fantastic; I love every song. However, I do prefer In Utero because of Steve Albini's production on it. If this album had been produced by Albini too, it would have been even better. Highlights for me include Come As You Are, Something in the Way, and Endless Nameless. I know Endless Nameless is a bonus track, but wow, it should have been on the album—it's definitely the best song.
