Intifada, unexploded ordnance, and hope…
An album that intertwines all three — layered with brilliant compositions and melodies.
But for me, alas, brilliant work doesn’t always translate into a brilliant experience.
During my subsequent relistens, I always felt something was missing — that was all those field recordings and samples that once grounded their crescendos.
Nevertheless, it remains a cathartic experience, as expected from GY!BE.
Truly ahead of its time!
No one did music and storytelling the way they did in this album.
Mladic makes me feel as if I'm/a character is some kind of humanoid nuclear bomb that explodes into Ragnarök.
