Big, grandiose, and just a little bit cheesy sometimes but the genuine passion in this project and the story it tells made me cry and also headbang. It's a prog metal rock opera about a comatose man exploring his own 'self' and confronting the traumas and conflicts in his life. It's just wonderful
The album to officially kick me back into a proper metal phase again. This shit goes so goddamn hard and yet lyrically is genuinely beautiful and powerful with a strong environmentalist message and a kickass overall concept.
Good shit give'r a listen
Another high school soundtrack for me. This was always my favorite of their discography. It retains the whimsy of the first album but its louder and just goes harder in every regard. That's not a slight against their first album. Its just a more mellow vibe compared to the immediately apparent added abrasiveness of this sophomore effort.
