A solid jazz rap song. The beat and lyrics are great, but the delivery does feel a bit awkward a few times. Nothing I think can't improve with time though.
I am shaking from how cold this beat is i think we might just have the next madlib on our hands
Yea this song is kinda mid tbh, the better version of this song is Awkward which is way more nsfw but actually slaps, the only reason I'm saying this is mid is bc ken ashcorp had to change his voice into feminine
I’m done arguing with anyone. I know most people won’t agree with me because most people are dull-minded and reliant. I have no energy for you folk. The difference between me and y’all is I’m governed by self. Good day.
I know should probably be more hyped for reaching 100 followers(ty btw special review coming eventually), but I'm still on beef watch.
Now, this isn't as direct of a diss as the previous two from GhostMinus, but it's still very much a diss track. Instead of attacking ADJ with clever lyrics, GhostMinus samples one of their tracks in this beat. Not only is this just a great song, it's a new and creative way to diss someone. Ill try not to take sides yet, but I honestly ... read more
Why is he rapping like Ben Shapiro?
If you guys keep bating me with these diss tracks I might just have to step in
I was going the worst rated hip hop albums of the site, and the snippet I heard of this one was the most alright thing ever. I decided to check to see if it really is that bad.
This project is, for the most part, very middle of the road when I look at its strengths and weaknesses. On one hand, Hobo Johnson is super annoying in both performance and lyrics, but on the other hand the album sounds nice. Unfortunately, this album carries several moments where the obnoxious vocals completely ... read more
Fishmans Deep Dive #8: Live From Planet Fish
I usually don't care for live albums. I've always thought the magic of it was actually attending the event, and not listening to the recorded version. Before this project I had only found one exception to that: Nirvana's MTV Unplugged Performance. You can tell Kurt intended it to be his swan song, even if the rest of the band didn't know this.
Ever since I heard the story surrounding this performance, I've always felt like ... read more
Fishmans Deep Dive #7: Fish to the Man
This is the final studio album from Fishmans. It combines almost every element of the band's previous works with a bit of trip hop into an album that feels like a studio farewell. It's a fitting finale for a group as varied as Fishmans, even if there's still one more project in the dive.
Also no spoilers for Catch-22 this time, but here are my thoughts:
500 pages? I am not reading all that.
