Geese - Getting Killed
60

Can definitely recognizes where Geese come from and why they are so popular. They've got great sound and chemistry.

But for some reason i just can't get into it. At least not this album that i sometimes disliked compared to 3D country

Don Burnham - Swingin’ Out West
85

IT'S TIME FOR RANDOM NICHE ALBUM !!!

Exactly what it is labelled : an incredible and soothing mix of swing and blues with of course a ton of western influence.

Overrall just fucking Amazing music. So engaging troughout. Perfect for a chill afternoon.

However i do feel like it's too short and the sound is very similar from one song to another.

To sum up : YEEE HAAA

Racing Mount Pleasant - Grip Your Fist, I'm Heaven Bound
95

RMP self titled being my favorite album of all time i had high expectations and oh god they have been fullfilled.

The instrumentation are just incredible. Short and compelling, almost perfect listen.
Didn't think i would love so many of what is on here.

Reichenbach falls, holy hell, heaven bound home, do you think im pretty and in truth everything on this album is just great.

Feels less refined than their self titled, sometimes more violent, sometimes more organic but overall just some ... read more

Pixies - Doolittle
92

Unfortunately for the me that used to hate this album because of a particular person, this is really good. Constantly engaging. Great guitar lines, soulful singing and godly drumming. It's so forward and noisy i love it.

By the way Hey is probably one of the best song OAT

Good Kid - Can We Hang Out Sometime?
20

so... hum... Yeah? no

I was expecting quite a bit since some of the songs previewed had hints of improvements or at least a hint of will to change a bit the sound. Even if in the end most of the experimentations done fall flat except for the Rift guitar solo (by far the best song on the album).

Very disapointed by how bland it sounds, no things to hold on to and i'm beginning to think that i like good kid only due to nostalgia to their first 2 EP that only now sounds good because of the ... read more

Toco - Outro Lugar

What???

Tf do you mean the best thing i heard this year is a random Samba and Bossa Nova album i came across in the most random manner?
Everything is just great ! As a french guy i got goosebumps the moment i heard french sung by Coralie Clement in Contradiçào.
Toco is such a good singer and musician.
Constantly so warm so groovy so smooth. Just made me dance and smile the whole way through.

Bombay Bicycle Club - I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose
67

Except for a few songs it's just alright. Not a bif fan of the songwriting if i can inherently recognizes it's qualities.

The Whitest Boy Alive - Dreams
82

That is mental the way the album gives you so little but so much at the same. It's very minimalistic but filled with ideas and i overrall loved it. However I felt like some songs were very under the standard of the rest of the album.

Angelo Badalamenti - Soundtrack from Twin Peaks
97

i mean what the hell can you say other that it's one of the most iconic soundtrack of the best television show of all time.
Just marvellous. Never has music captured eerie and beautiful this much in a show. I still feels it needs the contexts to fully be appreciated bu nonetheless still beautiful.

Gorillaz - The Mountain
84

The first Half is great. Good variety of sounds with a diverse palette of artists that brings it to a good conclusion even tough it feels a bit lackluster in the last songs. Overall great themes and a nice album. Been a long time i actually enjoyed a Gorillaz first listen

The Alan Parsons Project - Eye in the Sky
89

This is some undeniable dope shit

Blaenavon - That's Your Lot
90

Yo wtf?
I didn't think such an unknown album from an artist that is relatively unknown as well could be this good. There's maybe ONE song on this that i found unengaging. The rest deeply resonated with me.
It's the perfect mix between good indie rock and emotions that i love. It sounds so coherent and controlled, like it was planned to sound exactly like it's sounding.
Nostalgia, love, despair and hope it's just so nice to feel emotions so earnestly from an album.

I ... read more

Nas - Illmatic

Mmmhhh good nice great rap mhhhhhh

Lovejoy - One Simple Trick
35

Said i wouldn't talk about them anymore but bitch i lied.

It's genuinely one of the most "people listens to this?" album i've ever listened to. All of it sounds the fucking same.

One of the biggest critics i have is that it seems they never fully go out : they know how to each play their instruments really well but it seems like for each songs they choose who is going to carry it (most of it is trough the drums, the drummer is really good). They never really play all ... read more

D'Angelo - Voodoo

rest in peace to this great man.
Amazing record

Hayley Williams - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party
87

Great songwritting, great vocals, very catchy

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
100

There is something horribly wrong with the fact that an album can be that good. Perfect instrumentations, lyrics, sounds. Everything is just really well done and compelling

Loupe - Oh, To Be Home
60

I'm going to be honnest here.
I think it is somewhat disapointing.
Lot of bland songs without the texture i normaly like with Loupe. There's a lack of really interesting things in the songs. The guitar isn't as good as i remembered and the bass just felt... Absent. Really good drumming and a very pretty voice.

The first half of the album really bored me. Identical songs structures, songs that felt incomplete (or too short). Fortunately those were a bit corrected in the second ... read more

Lorien Testard - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Original Soundtrack)

Not the most complex written piece of music but it's so efficient emotion wise that it deserves such a high score
