Imagine if you gave Limp Bizkit 8 strings, made it metalcore, and a lot heavier, you'd get this probably. At 38 mins this album doesn't wear out it's welcome, the first half is a super strong run of songs with insane riffs and great vocals. Even some of the early 2010s dubstep noises have their own charm. Some of Frankie's lyrics and rapping deserve an eye roll occasionally but it's sort of self aware in how goofy it is. A Deathcore record where clean vocals actually work, in a genre that can be one note at times the variety on this album delivers. Harsh vocals and riffs also do not disappoint, lyrics are good also.

Immaculate vibes on here. Production is top notch and impeccably mixed. The songs create a seedy atmosphere which is incredibly enthralling, and take me to a scene of wandering around a rough part of London while ina state of introspection. The beats here combine elements of UK garage and dubstep for a down tempo treat that never relents for a second, and despite being repetitive, the instrumentals are complex and rich enough to keep you engaged.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to, which surprised me . The instrumentals are great, the blend of metal with piano arrangements and contemporary trap sounds is done quite tastefully. However the vocals do hold back my enjoyment a fair bit, the croony R&B quality they have really doesn't work with a metal style for me making them sound a bit jarring. While not quite as consistent as Toxicity, self titled's highlights match it's prowess easily. A fair few of the songs on here are a lot weirder as well, another awesome album.
