This album brings such a vibe that no other album brings and it just sounds incredible. Slowdive is one of the most innovative bands i know of. I love shoegaze and Slowdive is the peak of shoegaze. Their use of ethereal guitars, vocals and synths on this album are the best i've ever heard. Slowdive remains my favorite band of all time alongside Radiohead.
I cannot believe Slowdive's albums received negative press upon their releases in the 90s.
