Shrinker of the year, revisiting it felt exhausting tbh.

Note: I'm not a huge fan of The Killers. However, I did enjoy some cuts of this new record. It is really hit or miss in my case. I think songs like Wonderful Wonderful and The Man are really well written and fit their lyrical topics. But songs like Rut and Some Kind of Love sound incredibly generic pop rock to me. The last few songs are kinda forgettable IMO.

Least fav tracks: Rut, Life to Come, Some Kind of Love

James Murphy wears his influences on his sleeve on this record, but he's paying homage to them instead of just copying their styles. This results in a mix of Talking Heads, Joy Division, some Paul Simon, David bowie and even a spark of U2, while still maintaining LCD Soundsystem's own trademark sound. This album is a great way for a band to reunite and I look forward to whatever they're doing next.
