Even as I begin this review I don't know if this album will rank higher than Revival number wise, but I'll tell you this much. Revival felt purposeful, even if it was HEAVILY flawed and featured abysmal production. This is just fucking embarrassing. There's no redeeming qualities, it's just sad.
Yellow Brick Road, Like Toy Soldiers and Mockingbird are definitely tracks worth putting on your Best of Eminem playlist, Mosh doesn't really get me too empowered but it at least shows Em being ... read more
I have NEVER been a fan of Ken Kaniff, the character has and always will annoy the shit out of me when listening to an Eminem album.
Anyways - DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH GO GO GADGET DICK
This is the only Eminem album where I feel like I truly enjoy the content from start to finish and am fully invested in the fucked up world experience that Slim Shady wants me to be in. This used to be my favorite Eminem album for a long time, but then I remembered how much god damn filler is in this album. There's the completely unecessary skits that go throughout the album, there's the completely weird and off putting tracks like Remember Me?, Kim and Amityville, and the album just doesn't have the same consistency of its predecessor.

This production is kind of insane, these lyrics are kind of insane, these features are kind of insane, the three song run from tracks 2-5 is kind of insane, the emotional peaks of Roses and Hey Mama are kind of insane. I fell in love with this album the first time I heard it, and it only grows on me with repeat listens. Where did this Kanye go??

I'm going to use the words of Anthony Fantano (he didn't use this on the 7 review but it's fitting also I'm paraphrasing). I could tell you that I like this EP for what it is, or I could just tell you that I don't like it. I don't really care for this EP.
