That album cover made me think this was a full on R&B album LOL.
So this is my introduction to Loyle Carner as an artist and I am very pleasantly surprised. Great production from Madlib (on Track 3) and others paired with the conscious and compassionate rapping of Loyle. I don't listen to much UK Hip Hop so this is a treat. Cannot wait to listen to his other projects and future ones as well.
There are songs with good sections that I really like, and then something in the song just ruins it. Be it the lackluster instrumental or some cringey bars. Some songs are just outright not good. Drake ruins most of the songs, but he has a FEW standout verses. There is not nearly enough of 21 Savage on this album. Overall, the 1 hour runtime and 16 songs isn't worth another listen and the only song I would listen to again is the one with Travis Scott. But hey, at least it's better than his last ... read more
Joji's shortest "album." This runs more like an EP on the first disc and some throwaway tracks/demos on the second disc, evidenced by the short length and literally one of the songs having "demo" in its name. Bunch of standout songs that feel like they could've been on Nectar appear on the first disc (Ex: Glimpse of Us, Die For You). I also love the experimentation from the songs on the second disc. The fact that he released two songs as singles makes this track list even ... read more
Came for Dreamflower, stayed for the rest of the album. Great jazz fusion bops. Erykah Badu da goat no cap.
Compilation of her two EP's plus one brand new song. Very neat! I like how she rearranged the tracklists to refresh the listening experience.
who asked for this and why is it so short anyways?
Just take these songs and replace the bad ones on the main album wtf?
The Great War - 8/10
Bigger Than The Whole Sky 8/10
Paris 8/10
High Fidelity 8/10
Glitch 7.5/10 (It grew on me. 6/10 original rating)
Would've, Could've, Should've 8/10
Dear Reader 8/10
the middle of the tracklist has some hiccups but otherwise everything else is Taylor working her synthpop magic
cool artwork but the instrumental sounds like its building up to a climax that doesn't exist. then uzi comes on and raps in the background for 3 seconds and the song is over. LOL
Edit: 65 -> 69

Two years have passed since my initial review of this album and I've decided to relisten to it due to the very high user score and my comparatively low rating of the album. I can still safely say it's still pretty overrated, but I understand the a bit of where the hype is coming from. EDEN's laid-back alt-r&b production and monotone singing just doesn't do very much for me mostly, and it's comes off and pretentious and ... read more
for the meme value. I REALLY HOPE IT'S A FULL SONG IF IT ENDS UP ON THE ALBUM THOUGH.
