Edit: Yeah. The way the verses are sung is super tedious and the lyrics are just OKAY. The single hi-hat isn't enough during the verse. I still do like the chorus though.

Seems like he really liked the Cold Blooded Soul band from his NPR Tiny Desk Concert and decided to record more songs with them and release the songs onto streaming as a deluxe. I love it. Way to go with a deluxe edition of an already fantastic album. THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT, PEOPLE.

While I appreciate the experimentation, sometimes the production can come off sounding pretentious like on the opening track or on 'Lancaster Court.' Thankfully, these songs are still quite enjoyable and there are no bad songs in the tracklist. Not much in the way of cohesion between songs, but that's okay because every song is quality. Highlights include Greatest Hits, Concrete Over Water, Debra, and Glasgow
