i just can’t say anything else, this album made me realise who carti is as an artist and appreciate his vision
took me a bit to get into the album as a whole but now that i did it's AMAZING. it just scratches my brain in the best way. also 51129 is kinda underrated imo. but also just food house in general
After a not-so-short break Dylan and Laura come back to the scene with 10,000 gecs and if I'm being honest, this might be a contestant for an album of the year. On this project, 100 gecs partially move away from their 'hyperpop' sound and delve into more of a ?pop-punk? sound, while still maintaining the distortion on most tracks. But this does work in gecs favor and highlights the ability to get out of their comfort zone to create something new. 757 has to be my favourite track on this album ... read more
Took me a bit to get into this album but now that i did it is actually very very nice. SZA’s voice will always be so calming to me. Ghost In The Machine and Blind are my favorite tracks on this album. On these two songs, SZA opens up about her disconnect from the rest of the music industry and being ashamed of a lack of self-love.
ok, so this is really unexpected since i only knew about the family and not this but this has had waaay more appeal to me compared to the family. I LOVED EVERY SONG ON THE FIRST LISTEN!! if this is actually their last album i am sooo happy with this but ughhh, i cant believe this is it.
this album has a special place in my heart. i feel like Charli was so vulnerable on this project, while also extremely open with all of us, angels. and the fact that this was made in less than two months during a pandemic. mind blowing tbh
Vroom Vroom was a major turning point in Charli's career. On this project, she moves away from the mainstream pop girlie image that was mostly painted by her label and goes after an entirely new, boundary-pushing sound curated by SOPHIE's production. ICONIC AS USUAL
16 songs is too long for my attention span on drake’s/21 savage’s songs so i did have to scroll through some tracks
there is not enough experimentation on this project imo but some songs are nice for a couple of listens
favourites: major distribution (cute intro from drake and a nice beat), spin bout u, hours in silence, treacherous twins, circo loco (daft punk sample does it for me), middle of the ocean
Taylor’s ‘Midnights’ had a very anticipating campaign all over social media, which was exciting to watch for someone like me, who’s not really a swiftie. The album itself has a mellow feeling to it. Lavender Haze is an attention grabbing opener and one of the best songs on this project imo. Maroon, Snow On The Beach and Karma are also standouts on this album.
I've listened to some of the songs on this album before but haven't listened to the whole thing til yesterday. IT HAS BEEN ON REPEAT FOR 2 DAYS NOW!! This album has a very distinct sound for Grimes and it holds its strength throughout the entire project.
