as a playlist guy trying to be more of an album guy, I try to check out albums when I know I've been really into one track from it. the beautiful and chill At the River brought me here, and I was stoked to find lots more dancey bops and funky house mixes.
might need to make room for this on my top albums. nothing makes me feel the way Ball and Biscuit makes me feel.
keep the party going. Kill Your Masters is one of the best mic drop album conclusion tracks ever. love Legend Has It. these guys are legends.
Zach de la Rocha is the reason I got introduced to Run the Jewels in the first place. love this shit.
Kendrick's in a really interesting place in his career, because he has had some incredible albums and now the expectation is that he both just keep recapturing the same vibe that made people fall in love with him while also continuing to push forward and innovate and reinvent (which is also what made people fall in love with him). and yeah, this is dope. he's still got it. he's got more in him.
I really believe Thelonious Monk's genius is best appreciated with the solo/piano only stuff, but that doesn't make this album any less amazing/incredible/genius/one of the best jazz albums of all time
haters don't have Saturate beating in their hearts. haters don't know how to shake their body like a salmon floating up streeeeeeam
woke up in the morning with Galvanize in my head and had to embrace this vibe for the rest of the day
....I'm the first to review this? Is this site dead? Does no one else like chill jazz piano? I wish I was a better music critic, this is too much pressure. I like jazz piano excellence.
