Really interesting album with a few tracks but PF has more great records than this
"Ready to Die" is a cornerstone in the history of hip-hop, a debut that not only solidified The Notorious B.I.G.'s place in the rap pantheon but also set new standards for lyricism, storytelling, and production. Released in 1994, the album remains a timeless representation of East Coast hip-hop's golden era.
Best Tracks:
"Juicy" (95/100): A hip-hop anthem that transcends generations, "Juicy" is a rags-to-riches tale that encapsulates Biggie's journey to success. ... read more
"The Chronic," the debut studio album from Dr. Dre, released in 1992. This iconic release not only marked Dre's emergence as a solo artist but also played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of West Coast hip-hop.
This album is a groundbreaking album that not only solidified Dr. Dre's status as a hip-hop heavyweight but also introduced the world to the G-funk subgenre. The production, characterized by smooth synths, deep basslines, and funky samples, became a blueprint for West ... read more
1.) Human Behaviour:
This album kicks off with "Human Behaviour," a track that's as enigmatic and whimsical as Björk herself. The song's sparse, tribal percussion and surreal lyrics set the stage for what's to come. Björk's distinctive voice shines, effortlessly conveying a sense of curiosity and wonder. 9/10.
2.) Crying:
"Crying" maintains the album's otherworldly atmosphere. The mix of ethereal synths and Björk's evocative vocals creates a sense of ... read more
"Dirt" is a sonic journey through darkness, addiction, and emotional turmoil. Alice in Chains crafts an album that not only defines the grunge era but also transcends it with its musical complexity and lyrical depth. Staley's vocals, haunting and full of anguish, perfectly complement Cantrell's masterful guitar work, creating a synergy that elevates the entire album.
The album's thematic focus on addiction and internal struggles adds a layer of authenticity that resonates with ... read more
Absolute bangers front to back. No messing around, irs amazing. The electronic and dance fusion works so well throughout this album. An absolute must listen
Such catchy guitar riffs that you cant get out of your head and eventually you're craving for it again, my only complaint is that it doesn't have the impact that like clockwork does but that's a nitpick that's all. Overall a great album
This album is oozing with personality and track after track is absolute masterclass from one track exciting you to the core to the next that make you tremble with sorrow. I can't describe this album and I suggest that you should experience it yourself
This album is an album that represents a pivotal moment in Talking Heads' career. It's a bridge between their more experimental beginnings and their later, more accessible sound. While it features some strong tracks and memorable moments, it also includes songs that may not hold up as strongly. My overall rating for "More Songs About Buildings and Food" is a solid 7/10. It's a fun and enjoyable record that captures the band's evolving style and their knack for crafting infectious ... read more
The first Talking heads album I've listened to because I thought 'Once in a lifetime' is from this album. But I got a completely different experience, and man it starts on a strong note 'Uh-Oh, Love Comes to Town' with the funky ass beat. I was like OMFG this is so groovy and it's keeps going and immediately Talking Heads became one of my favorite artist of all time.
Kinda lost the spark at the middle but picked up the pace again by 'Pyscho Killer'. That is the perfect encapsulation of all ... read more
Stumbled upon this looking for new music to listen to.
I don't know if I'm stupid or not but I kinda dig this. The tracks are all simple but has the vibe of romantic hard rock vibe which the first I heard of.
But overall if you just want to chill out and put your foot up drink some beer and just relax this is the album to listen to.
Gorillaz's debut album is a genre-bending journey that defies conventional boundaries. Damon Albarn's vision, coupled with Jamie Hewlett's animated characters, created a sonic and visual experience that resonated with audiences worldwide. The album seamlessly blends hip-hop, rock, electronic, and world music influences, resulting in a sound that feels both familiar and groundbreaking.
"Clint Eastwood" remains a standout single, but the album's strength lies in its ability to offer a ... read more
It's FoB what can you say? They still are the same in back in the 2015 era, this album and most of FoB's albums imo is only for bars/gym/grocery. It has no material whatsoever.
Too long to the point I dont care anymore. No variety to keep me hooked, feels the same listening to Joji. But some parts are interesting this is just sadboy music with a little bit of flare
