First Tyler album I've ever listened to. Didn't hate it, didn't particularly love it. It was decent but not amazing. It didn't blow me away but it wasn't awful. It was just good.
The main issue with this album is that it is the most fucking generic piece of crap ever. Is it bad? No. Is it good? No. It's just painfully average and generic and not worth listening to. No passion or creative was put into this album at all. Why would I listen to Katy Perry when there are artists nowadays that have taken her style and evolved into something better and more interesting, Katy isn't making anything that is actually worth listening to because all the song topics are so ... read more
This is awful. Don't listen to this. It is beyond unlistenable. Nothing here is redeemable and continues to show how out of touch Kanye is.
I really wanted to like this album. I think if I was a huge metal fan I would have liked this album. However, listening to it made me just feel nothing. I didn't feel like I was enjoying myself, I felt numb. Maybe that was the point? To me, a lot of the songs sounded very similar and just didn't feel worth listening to. Again, take everything I'm saying with a grain of salt because as stated before I am not a huge metalhead. I just didn't enjoy my time with this album at ... read more
This was recommended to me by a friend and that friend is an amazing person for recommending this to me. Loved listening to this. Great tracks all around and was a joy to listen to. It's not the best I've ever heard in this genre but Charli xcx is flexing here with her vocals that seamlessly glide over each track on this mixtape. Overall, I had a blast listening to this!
Another great album from Dre. Again, this had great production, great beats, great lyrics, great features. Everything about it was great. However, there are some songs on here that are not as listenable as The Chronic. The entirety of the Chronic is consistent and does not have any low points. 2001 has some low points for me. Some of these songs are songs that I would 100% skip if I were to listen to it again. The thing that really elevates this album for me though are the several amazing songs ... read more
The Chronic is a 100% certified classic. There are some great beats, great lyrics, and great production on this. A lot of this stuff was just amazing bump my head to it while blasting it in my car speakers kind of music. Great stuff here. Dr. Dre knew how to make and produce fucking amazing music even back in 1992.
God. This album is great, the messages and the meanings behind Kendrick's words are just... I don't even know how to explain it. This album hits deep in so many different ways and made me think more about personal experiences in my life and how I dealt with them. I can somewhat relate to a decent bit of the subject matter in this album. However, even though this album was amazing and a great listening experience throughout, I cannot see myself putting any of these songs on a playlist. ... read more
Fun album! Has some great songs and great lyrics. Very catchy and fun to listen to and the album doesn't overstay its welcome. The subject matter here is actually interesting and quite upsetting at times which conflicts with the upbeat attitude of most of the songs on this record. Overall, a great listen that was fun the entire way through!
The bars are fucking awful and there's not getting around that at all, HOWEVER, her energetic attitude in some of these songs is infectious mixed with a lot of great beats that make you wanna shake your ass on TikTok! Yes, I do believe that this album was basically made for more dancing clips on TikTok which is honestly whatever. There's more poop bars on this album than I think was needed and that really threw me off a couple of times. Overall, I hate that I could find myself bumping ... read more
My first time listening to MF DOOM. I enjoyed my experience but I didn't love it. There was some great moments on this album that I was able to bump my head along to and have fun enjoying the lyrics, however, some of the songs just weren't all that catchy. I don't hate what he is offering here, I don't necessarily love it either. None of what's on here makes me want to listen to more of him but I can see why people enjoy it. Overall, some great songs on here and some ... read more
I love Billie's voice, I love her vibe, I love her attitude overall, I did not like this album. Something about this album just didn't sit right with me. It started off with 2 really great songs but after that it lost me. The overall receptiveness of the album's sound just doesn't make me engaged or interested in what she has to say. If there was more going on technically I would have enjoyed this more. I came in to this album hoping that I would really love what Billie is ... read more
The way of all flesh is a great outing from Gojira that showcases their technical abilities very well. The intricate riffs and powerful drumming create a great and refreshing listening experience. My only complaint is the final song being 17 minutes long with a long bout of silence taking up most of it.
Weird Al is back baby! This is charming and fun as hell to listen to. I hope that this is a sign of a new album from him sometime soon!
GUTS is an ode to heartbreak and the perils that come from relationships in general. Although the subject matter is somewhat one note, each track is diverse enough from the last that it almost isn't noticeable. Not to mention that Olivia Rodrigo has an amazing voice which makes each one of these tracks an absolute joy to listen to. A consistent and strong album from start to finish. My only gripe with this album is that I wish it was longer!
Although it may be a bit daunting to look at the track list and see four songs that are over 7 minutes long, trust me when I say that it doesn't feel that way. The artistry put into each one of these tracks is very evident and each track is a joy to listen to throughout the ever changing rhythms and jam sessions within these tracks. A very solid album, not a single song misses for me.
Quite a few headbangers on here. The instrumentation was fun and engaging the entire way and the vocals were a joy to listen to. A highlight for me was definitely Carved from Stone, that song is freaking amazing. Overall I enjoyed my time with this album.
MEGAN is a mix of high highs and low lows. There are some songs on here that show real talent from Megan Thee Stallion and other songs that sound like copy and paste lyrics with a different beat. After the 5th bar where she talks about how tight/wet/juicy her pussy is I start to check out mentally. Hiss is a great song to start off the album with but the next several songs are not interesting. The album picks up at the midway point with Otaku Hot Girl, BOA, and Mamushi and once again hits a ... read more
BRAT is amazing. Everything on this album is a joy to listen to. The electronic music mixed with Charli's hypnotic voice makes these tracks an absolute joy to listen to. I could listen to everything on here on repeat and never got bored because of intricate and fun these songs all are. No skips on this album at all, best one I've listened to all summer.
The highlights of this album are definitely the slower songs. Sadly the rest of the album sounds like generic pop that you could find other places. Not that it isn't good, far from that, I enjoy quite a few tracks on this record. My main issue is that a lot of it sounds like it could be off other albums from other artists. A great album with a few flaws that don't ruin the album but make it less enjoyable to listen to in my opinion.
