I think the way to make me like dance pop is to make it gay
The Frank Ocean influence is so apparent that it's distracting, but we haven't got frank music in a while so I'll take it.
eh its fine i guess, not much that's all that captivating but not anything really that bad either.
It’s good, production and flows are definitely there. Just really short and not super memorable. If you’re expecting an album full of e-coli level songs that’s not really what you’re gonna find here
I found out about this and my day is now ruined. I have no more faith in humanity. Truly the most disrespectful shit I've ever witnessed.
Also to anyone who legitimately finds this funny, you're just as awful as the person who made this.
Doja Cat seems to have lost a real sense of personality, as unlike planet her that had charming and fun songs like Need to Know and Kiss Me More, Scarlet delivers an overly long collection of mediocre pop-rap songs that lack many strong hooks or fun deliveries to make anything all that memorable.
Teezo's album is fun, wacky, silly, and a little goofy. While the lyrics aren't great (with the exception of neighborhood), and some of the songs can feel underdeveloped, the vocals and production ooze so much personality that I had a big smile throughout the record.
This album.... is bad. Shocking, I know.
BUT...
it's pretty damn fun to listen to. Not in like a background music at a party type of fun but in a laughing your ass off at this album kind of fun. I honestly had a blast listening to how many elements of this album were atrocious. The flow is CONSISTENTLY terrible. Not a single good flow on the entire thing. The hooks are either laughably simple or not catchy at all. The production is actually not that bad, although it's far from mind-blowing ... read more
Ooh Rap I Ya is the first George Clanton album I've heard, and it was such a cool experience. The production across this record is consistently incredible, creative, fun, catchy, and i would basically give it any praise that I could. Vocals and lyrics are very good as well, really cool listen.
Hozier delivers a consistently enjoyable album that gave me several great tracks to go back to. The vocals on this thing are consistently great, it's got some great hooks, good lyrics, and pretty solid production. However, this album did feel like it had an abundance of ballads, which made its hour long runtime feel unjustified. Still a good listen front to back, however, would recommend.
As a huge Noname fan, this album left me underwhelmed. While yes, there is clear talent shown on this album, it's nothing new for Noname. While I found every track to be at least solid, and found a few like "gospel" to be great, this album lacks memorability. Also that Jay Electronica verse and whole drama around this album is not doing this justice.
awful in every conceivable way but at least it's short i guess (listen to anything else)
