There is a profound sadness here that is only exacerbated by the context behind it. You can hear it in both the tone of the album as well as the lyrics. There is a lot of contrast to his other albums. He had given up.
With the exception of the opening track, Pink Moon, the entire album is made up of just his voice and a guitar. I'm not sure if this helps with the depressing tone, or if it makes it all the more impressive how he is able to convey such emotion from such simple music.

I think there is some good musical qualities here but the edgy sense of humour and stupid unfunny skits really ruin it for me.
Bizarre. This has some genuinely good songs but also some of the worst music Weezer have ever put out.
For the first time, Foo Fighters were able to create an album without a single bad song. It's energetic, loud, and a very fun listen. Even the "low" points here are better than 90% of their discography.
After 14 years, I'm glad they were able to once again create something as good as The Colour And The Shape.
A substantial improvement over the debut. This being the full band obviously makes a huge difference. A lot more depth in the music.
February Stars is way too slept on. Great track.
