Definitely better than the last DJ Khaled album, but nothing crazy. It's exactly what I'd expect from one of his albums. There are a few bangers that are clearly meant for the radio, and then there are tracks that are there just to fill space. Some of the collaborations made no sense, and some worked. I'll keep the songs I enjoyed and forget the others existed, just as I do with every Khaled album.

This is an album I haven't heard since my middle school years, and I decided to go back and see how it held up. Overall, I still enjoy it very much, especially for the Vaudevillian production and eccentric singing. One of my only real issues with it is that, often, it feels as though it is pandering to the demographic of angsty teenagers in its lyrics. However, at the points where it's more out there and abstract, I really enjoy it. The album has some recurring themes, mostly ones that paint a ... read more
This is unlike quite anything I've heard before. I admit this genre is far out of my wheelhouse, but I thoroughly enjoyed this project. ENTERTAINMENT, DEATH is haunting, surreal and, yet, calming at the same time. Amidst all the chaos is a sense of peace. This album is able to paint a picture of both horror and solemnity with as few words as possible. Truly, the power of this album is in its subtlety. The singer's voice also cuts through all the noise despite the cacophony of sounds surrounding ... read more
I really enjoyed this album on first listen. The production was fun and creative, and it stuck to the Brockhampton style without sounding like they were repeating their old work. I'll have to revisit to catch some of the lyrical messages, but strictly on sound this project is great.

A classic 2000s album. Love the narrative and the production, and it has aged like fine wine.

I love the production on this album. The string passages and compositions are very ornate and go well with the vocals. It's definitely one of my favorite Weezer projects.

While I definitely did not like this album as much as No One Mourns the Wicked, I certainly found some highlights in the tracklist. Songs like "Forever Ago" were much more personal than Conway's usual bars, while other tracks had phenomenal sampling jobs from Big Ghost. One overall complaint I do have with the production, however, is that there are many songs that include sounds reminiscent of a broken record. While this technique can definitely be done well, it just came off ... read more
While definitely not Frank Ocean's best, Channel Orange is full of several tracks that are outstanding. I don't rate it as highly as most, since there are a few songs that have not aged well for me or didn't sound too great from the start.

It's taken me a lone time — four years, evidently — to solidify my thoughts on Blonde. This album is one of those that will live on for decades. Frank Ocean's production and emotive performances and lyrics are absolutely stunning, and the album has tremendous replay value. Every single track from 1-10 is complete perfection. The only reason I wouldn't make this rating higher is that after "Solo (Reprise)" some of the tracks are hit or miss for me. Regardless, this album is ... read more
I decided to revisit Die Lit after loving WLR and, while I don't hate this anymore, I still feel like the production carries the project. Carti doesn't do too much, which I understand is part of the appeal, but for me he doesn't do enough. The songs have too many adlibs for the most part, more repetition than I'd like, and there isn't much to keep me going back to most of these songs. There isn't much to hate, but there also isn't much to love. That being said, "Long Time" is a ... read more
I was never a Playboi Carti fan before this project, but wow has this album impressed me. This is everything I didn't know I wanted from Carti. The harsh, textured synths, crushing bass, vocal acrobatics, and decreased reliance on adlibs have all made this album an incredibly enjoyable listen. While this album is not a "grand statement" or anything, the textures that the production on each track make and the album's cohesiveness make it a fun listen all the way through. Sonically and ... read more
This latest release from Kid Cudi as a part of his Man on the Moon trilogy sees the artist exploring with many of the styles that his previous works inevitably inspired. I did, on the whole, thoroughly enjoy a lot of the production on the album. While many of these tracks go over well, the album's songwriting could have used work in several instances. I would have liked more focused lyrics and perhaps more themes between tracks. Additionally, Kid Cudi's vocals are usually great, but there are ... read more
This is definitely the Boldy James project which has interested me the most. His lyrics are incredibly poignant, and the production is consistent and beautiful. This album does not fall victim to the typical Boldy James trap of becoming boring and stale. His bars keep the album interesting from start to finish, and I appreciate the wide variety of subjects which Boldy touches on throughout the album. Sterling Toles' sampling and the mixing on the album are both incredibly unique as well. ... read more
While this album wasn't horrible, it also didn't really stand out much for me. Shawn Mendes definitely has a lot of vocal talent, and that shows on this album, but between the nondescript lyrics and messy production I found this to be quite the boring listen. Not many tracks stood out to me lyrically, and I found at many points that there were a lot of instrumental changes that did not make much sense. That being said, there were a few tracks I enjoyed and plan on coming back to.

This is the first full album I've heard from Miley Cyrus, and I must say I was definitely not disappointed. I found this album to be incredibly personal and well-produced. The lyrics on several tracks are very heartfelt and resonate well. Not to mention, the vocals that Miley gives are also great. I did find myself enjoying more of the soulful and rock songs more than most of the synth pop tracks, which was a bit disappointing. However, this album is still great and exemplifies a great blending ... read more
I had virtually no expectations going into this project, but I was very pleasantly surprised. While Lil Baby hasn't really amazed me before, I think Lil Baby took his rapping and production choices to a new level with this project. While I don't think it's mind blowing or anything, this project keeps my attention for a long time, and it's packed with bangers.

While I have tremendous respect for Chief Keef as a hugely influential artist of the 2010s, I think the majority of what he has released since 2012 has been absolutely mid, this project being no excpetion. That being said, there were a few bangers on this project as well.
