DISCONNECT

An underrated masterpiece mislabelled as glorified Kid A b-sides. ‘Amnesiac’ has moments of pure, pulsating intensity and brilliance. A Radiohead record in heart and soul, just as experimental and just as good.

One thing that Amnesiac has, which Kid A doesn’t, is moments which make you think about who would actually listen to this casually. There are some moments here and there which would’ve been better off shortened a minute or two, mostly because of ... read more

DELUSIONAL

There are a dozen rappers out there who I’d rather give the assets Jaden Smith has. He has ambition, connections, talent and the budget to bring it all to life, but he’s still putting out mediocre to bad music.

REVOLUTIONARY

Let me get this straight. This is a hardcore punk record where the bandmates are taking it out on each other with jazz influences, ambient interludes, art punk and instrumental genius. This Billie Elish record is lyrics-wise very much a reflection of her age. Subjects like heartbreak or very domestic struggles hit her hard, because she’s experiencing these things for the first time. After all, she’s only seventeen.

Even when a slightly corny line can be picked out, the quality of the music found here absolutely compensates for it, I’d argue, to an extent where any corniness is no longer a downweight at all.

Billie and her brother offer some ... read more

INNOCENT

Bry (formerly performed under the stage name: Bribry) has not released any material that many people would take all that seriously. Yes, it’s wholesome, innocent, often very warm, and all-round a nice easy listen.

The second track ‘I Hope You’re Listening’ is one of the better songs on this LP. It portrays the victory one feels from succeeding, but it hardly feels victorious when you still feel bitter for those who didn’t support you. There’s a ... read more

For me, the experience makes the music. Bad music rarely gives good experiences though.
