Holy shit were do I start. As someone who used to listen to Lil Darkie a lot I USED to think his music was pretty good. But as I've grown and matured I have realized how corny his music truly really was and that I his music felt repetitive. Around 2021 when he dropped the abomination known as "boros" I figured that I would listen to it hoping that it could maybe change my view on his music. It did change it, but for the worse. Thought I would do the same with THE FUTURE IS DARK, ... read more
This was definitely an album. It had some high highs but awfully low lows. Great lyricism spread throughout every track. Only thing holding this back is the second half of the album. If he were to remove track 9-19 this would be top 3 carter. I enjoyed it. Not all of it, but half of it. Update 76 -> 72. Didn't realize how bad some of the songs were.
Yeah this is definitely one to forget. Eminem's 7th album is not very good. It's very boring, most choruses on the album are trash, and the rapping is repetitive. While it is very meaningful, stating his attempt at recovering from all of the things he did in his past and trying to gain back the respect and trust of everyone he has hurt along his way to get to where he is now. While I'm not going to completely bash this album mainly because of how it displays its meaning fairly ... read more
Such a crazy album. Definitely needs to be heard, genuinely changed my look on music.
The best producer/rapper duo album of all time. Great bars and great production, really just great production all around.
Not liking this as much as his other projects, hopefully it will grow on me, but if it doesn't I'm not too worried. And plus LP! (OFFLINE!) is too amazing for me to move on from.
Really good album, loved every part of the album. There were a few things that I didn't really like but other than that, this was a damn near perfect album. Amazing work from both of them, can't really say I expected any less since they are both great artists.
Entertaining to listen to and never gets boring. Every song has a new aspect to look at, value, and appreciate. There's a lot more I want to say about this album but I can't sum it up into this review.
I've got not a lot to say about this. Definitely the most depressing album I've ever listened to. The way that the sounds perfectly demonstrate the picture of this album and the vocal performances absolutely top this off like no other. The vocal performances feel like you're listening to an audible suicide note. I just can't describe it.
Yeah I'm not seeing it. This is one of the most laughable albums that I've ever listened to. I don't know how people were saying that this should've won album of the year. His voice is terrible, the beats were okay, and did I mention how bad his voice was? If this was an instrumental album it would probably be a high 70 low 80, but fuckass Geordie Greep exists. Fuck you and fuck Geordie Greep. Retirement is needed immediately. This album is genuinely unlistenable and fucking ... read more
People need to listen to the music they say is ass before calling it ass. This is definitely a top 10 TRAP album of all time just because of how it displayed to people that you don't need to talk about only talk about gang shit and still succeed in this genre. While most of it is about drugs and heartbreaks, it definitely paved the way for future albums of this style to come.
Very weird listen. Sounded like country but pop at the same time, and was very explicit with the lyrics (not that I care). It was honestly not a terrible listen and there are some songs that I could and will go back to listen to but not that many. Definitely after listening to it I can say this is overhated.
