ROSALÍA’s first time venturing into singing in English is a pay off. The chorus is catchy, she sounds comfortable singing in English, it didn’t feel forced but the only problem I have with this song is the production. It’s just a bit boring for ROSALÍA’s standards, I would say it fits into the more minimalistic production style. Definitely not my favourite song from her and probably never will but I can appreciate it.
SZA’s vocals sound even better on this acoustic version, the vulnerability in her vocal is on full display with just a beautifully simple acoustic guitar playing in the background.
In my opinion I think overall Kim adds nothing special to the track to better it, I think it makes the song just a bit even worst then it already is. Kim comes out belting straight away which is not smooth to the ears at all but on the back end of the track Kim’s and Meghan’s vocals sounds amazing together.
This remix changes the soundscape of the original song completely and it’s amazing. Shygirl’s vocals and the production from Sega Bodega always works well together. Björk still sounds great and still has her moment to shine. Overall this is a great remix.
Its cold, its hot. It eerily sounds like the legendary producer SOPHIE produced it. But the single is solid overall, the production goes HARD and Kim’s vocals sound good. It’s just a bit boring though. Not much to complain about. Not one of my favourite songs from her right now but I’m sure it’ll grow on me but its going to take some time.
