I mean, a Growlers tape of demos of almost exclusively pre-released music but demastered? I get the appeal of having the physical tape itself but none of these songs were better than their mastered studio counterparts and they’re so short I can’t even decide if I like the new tracks.
When I saw The Growlers were back I didn’t think it would be like this >:( but hoping die hard fans of their garage surf era are listening to this and rejoicing

Dang - I am NOT normally a rap music fan, but the lyric work and production on this album is incredible. This the typa shit we like to see from these comeback albums 🗣️🗣️

I honestly really enjoyed this - it’s a pretty easy listen but I’m a big fan of the songwriting, it almost felt like I should have heard this before but it still felt fresh. Big fan, will be revisiting.

Seems like the cadence in this album is different than a lot of their older stuff but still with the unique rhythms and vocals that makes them stand out. Quite enjoyed this actually :P

dude idgaf what kind of project this is, it’s still barely enticing me with its good ideas. There was quite literally one song where i raised an eyebrow because i liked it, the rest were just average Fike - for better or for worse

This album has better SONGS than Afterglow, its successor, but as a cohesive project it falls just short. Though, all in all it's quite inoffensive at its worst so that works to its benefit.

You know it’s so funny because this has a more “Symphony in the Sky” feel to it than Symphony in the Sky 😭😭 I think sonically it’s far more cohesive as opposed to its predecessor which was clearly a bunch of singles tossed in with a bunch of other songs they wrote.
That being said - I think Afterglow has a bit of a pre-nostalgic sound to it with the heavy strings and sweet vocals from frontman A/J Jackson.
that’s not to say every song is incredible - a ... read more
i mean, it’s pretty clear Bishop Briggs made exactly the cheeky Halloween EP she set out to - complete with corny Halloween lyrics and production.
For what it’s worth though, it’s a fun listen - just maybe wanted something slightly more sophisticated from one or two of the songs.
Most identity-less until the final track, Swift’s twelfth studio album leaves a lot to be desired instrumentally and lyrically aside from the few positives which mostly felt like ripoffs of other hot artists working now.
The Fate of Ophelia
In general I find the backing instrumental pretty unhelpful, this could’ve been a really moving song with a little more percussion behind it. The writing in the second verse lost me and I find it laughable that “keep it one hundred” ... read more

The production is definitely a bit more watered down as a whole and there are less takeaway tracks than previous Milky Chance entries, but as a straight through listen while cleaning (or just in general for background music) it’s pretty groovy, as the rest of their discography is. More Milky Chance continues to be all I need - no need to reinvent the wheel.
songs like Passion and that one with the feature are close to nails on a chalkboard though icel
