God I love this album- it came out during such a transitionary time in my life and such a tumultuous time in history. From the announcement, through the singles (like Heat Waves which I listened to dozens of times on the day of its release as I painted my room a "big boy" color) to the album dropping just days after I entered my 20's, 'Dreamland' just did it all, and continues to this day. I love this band.

I am NOT a 'Pray for the Wicked' apologizer - I fundamentally and wholly understand the formulaic songwriting, jarring vocals, and occasionally (frankly) stupid lyrics, but this album is nostalgic to the max for me and as such I'll always have a blast listening to it for what it's worth to me.
