This is the most raw and dirtiest metal album I've ever heard. Oddly satisfying but mostly simple riffs and mean delivery has me hooked on every song.
This is by far Drake's best project and is criminally underrated. An amazing blend of Rap and R&B with flawless production. Some of the best R&B music to come from the 2010's is on here with tracks like Jungle and Wednesday Night Interlude. Not one song on here had me bored or ready to move on the next songs. It's juts so intriguing and urgent., which is what it makes it stand out from all of Drake's other work. (Preach is peak and deserves so much more praise)
I had pretty low standards for this album but the second I saw the cover I knew it was over. The only song I genuinely like is the single Money on Money and I'm not sure if its because it was the one and only single but the only other okay song is Miss My Dogs but I'm never gonna catch myself listening to a 7 minute Young Thug song. All these beats song so similar it's bad. Not like he's sticking to one style, its like he was sticking to on formula across this whole run ... read more
This album is amazing. Although I don't find it as amazing as Imaginal Disk, it really doesn't need to be. It's completely unique and different from any of Magdalena Bay's newer music. It's an amazing concept playing into all of the flawless transitions from song to song. Mica's singing is so perfect and fits perfectly into Matt's retro-pop sound the really hit it out the park.
Not gonna lie this is a great album that was extremely ahead of its time. But now days its fallen far far behind. De La Soul are an amazing 90's group. This is a fun jazzy album this really paved the way for people like Kanye. But some of the songs are very middle of the road for me. I liked lots of these beats but some of them where just to plain and sounded to unfinished to me. The raps are amazing and funny but some times the come off as more corny then anything. Its really great but ... read more
Tory Lanez as a rapper, I'm not a big fan. But this is almost like a completely different artist, and I don't know why he just doesn't stick with this sound. This is a beautiful R&B/Synthpop album and for sure one of the best of the decade. The production is amazing, sounding so original and fits so well into Tory's angelic singing.
This in an inarguably classic rock album. The riffs on this album are genuinely some of the best I've ever heard, similar to Nirvana level. Not only the riffs, but the production is so amazing. The drums are so unique on every song and the bass lines are so exotic. I love the writing on this, being extremely sexual and driven towards very sensitive topics. One of the best rock albums of the 2000 for sure.
Magdalena Bay are so amazing and I fell they might be making the best pop music from the past 30 years. Imaginal Disk is a beautifully crafted masterpiece. The concept of trying to be ordinary, but then causing destruction is so amazing and is a very important. I am genuinely disappointed that I am hearing this so late because it is just so amazing. Its hard to even say things about this album. I am so intrigued 100% of the time from this because of the unique hooks, catchy instrumentals, and ... read more
This album carries and atmosphere that no other album does. From Hip Hop to Art Pop to Electronic, Demon Days has it all. The production from D2 (aka Damon) and the one and only Danger Mouse, a legendary Hip Hop producer, carry the vibes to a whole other level. The writing is also phenomenal from the features like MF DOOM and Bootie Brown dropping crazy features, to D2 simple yet affective wordplay this is one of the best written albums I've heard. I find the back half of this album to be ... read more
This album from Joey is Jazzy, experimental, and melodic all in one. Most of these songs I found liking but didn't blow me away aside from a few tracks which I really enjoyed. I don't like this album as much as some of his other projects like 1999 and ALL-AMARIKKKAN BADA$$ but this is not very far behind.
I’m gonna start off by saying I’m not gonna lie. I really liked this album. But I’m also not gonna say this is the best album ever. The first half of the album is what stood out for me the most. I liked the single Manchild and tears is probably my favorite of the record. The only song I disliked was Go Go Juice and I didn’t even hate it. The writing was just to corny for me. But that wasn’t the only track that had lacking lyrics. I don’t expect Sabrina to a ... read more
With in these past 2 years Westside Gunn has dropped many albums. I was relatively happy with the quality at he was dropping because he was dropping so often. But this was disappointing. I was really looking forward to this because I liked to original HEEL HAVE EYES even though it was an EP. With that record I enjoyed every song besides one but with this one only have of the track list is even a little bit memorable. The front half of this album was easily the best having okay songs with little ... read more
This is easily the best Gangster Rap album of the decade, filled with first class sounding beats, dirty coke rap, crazy samples, and 10/10 features. Sucks that Freddie and Benny had a falling out and hopefully one day they make amends and Collab on future projects. No big take aways besides Look At Me and Skinny Suge. Also I feel the sample on All Glass during the course is a bit off sounding but it doesn't really effect how I see the track as a whole. Although I love all these tracks I ... read more
Without this album we would not have a Flower boy, or an IGOR, or an CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, or a CHROMAKOPIA, or a DON'T TAP THE GLASS. We probably would of got shit albums from Tyler and his career would be ruined if he hadn't found his wings. I liked all the songs aside from RUN and KEEP DA O'S. The outro is one of Tyler's best ever songs. It's extremely cinematic and is a perfect closer for an album full of the chaos of finding your true potential and purpose. The ... read more
Perfect coke rap. The bars are all insane and can leave me mind blown every time. Not to mention the production is perfect on every song, having a Kanye at his artistic peak producing a label mates album. Being super short is not a problem because with extra songs I can imagine there being a song or two that doesn't reach the same hype as the rest. Maximum enjoyment!
so many reviews gonna flood in that nobody gonna notice that Anthony gave Quadeca a 8
