The first half is actually 10/10 and the second half is hit or miss. Some of the mini songs work and some just don’t. At least for me.

Come Together
Unbelievably good. Roger is at the top of his lyrical game throughout, especially on Dogs, which also has not only Gilmour’s best solo, but in my opinion, the greatest guitar solo of all time.

Dogs
Incredible. One of the greatest concept albums and executions.

How in God’s name is Wearing the Inside Out 77? Were we listening to the same song?
Favorite Track:
Wearing the Inside Out
Maybe the hardest an album has ever been carried by a song.
Favorite Track:
Echoes
Incredibly impressed by some of the tracks on here (some of his best) but underwhelmed by some others. The great tracks are usually the most sensitive ones.

Mother I Sober
They don’t sleep anymore on the beach.

Paint Me A Picture
The most challenging album I’ve ever heard, and one of the most difficult to rate. The high points on this album are stellar, but I feel that one of the biggest traps to fall into in avant-garde and especially instrumental music is having the themes not shine through in the music, and this happens unfortunately frequently on this record. But when everything comes together, it’s an incredible, rewarding experience.
Favorite Track:
Industry
Not a fan of this. Essentially no substance throughout and incredibly gimmicky. Some decent tracks and moments here and there but overall disappointing.
Favorite Track:
White Ball
An indisputable masterpiece and an essentially perfect album but not even better than Permanent Waves somehow. One of the most consistent albums in quality I’ve ever heard- each song is downright generational.
Favorite Track:
Limelight
Meh. A few strong songs here and there but overall pretty mediocre.
Favorite Track:
Far Cry
Their worst overall. A bit overhated but still not great. Not awful though. Has their most underrated song in Limbo.
Favorite Teack:
Limbo
“Let the tide in and set me free.”
How can I listen to this? There’s no progressive elements or fusion with other genres!
Just kidding. Quadrophenia is the apotheosis of rock and roll at all its core elements, brought to the absolute height of their capabilities, by way of its pure musical proficiency, but also its ideologies and inspirations. Quadrophenia is a rock story, both an example and, in may ways, a deconstruction of what it thinks and breathes, executed to ... read more
