We're almost at the finish of Rush's discography, but before we reach the end we must first discuss the 18th album from them, Snakes & Arrows. I was very pleasantly surprised by this album. I found most songs on this album to be very enjoyable. There were a few songs more toward the beginning I wasn't as fond of, but from around the half way point on, there wasn't a track I didn't find at least a little enjoyment in.
While it's the same hard/prog rock they've been doing since Presto, there's a bit more life and passion to this than the other albums.
Rush works with producer Nick Raskulinecz on their 18th studio album.
After 2002's Vapor Trails, a decent album which was mired by brickwalled, overcompressed production, Rush decides to work with Nick Raskulinecz, who had previously worked with Foo Fighters -- and Snakes & Arrows does sound significantly better than its predecessor.
