This is my debut album. It's an instrumental electronic album, but I can't really give it a genre other than electronic and downtempo. It has some dance bits, some rock bits etc... It's my first album so it's not that great but it's still pretty cool ig
Some of the most emotional, amusing, cold and futuristic albums. Everything is perfect here: Björk's powerful and passionate voice, the magical, epic and orchestral electronic sound it has, and most of the tracks are fantastic and very memorable. While from the second side it becomes a little little bit more boring, it's still almost a perfect experience if you want a pop-electronic album.

Seriously, one of my favourite openers.

"A Promise" is like a better Knife Play. It's more industrial than rock, but has still those lovely, noisy and chaotic synths. It's also more oriented to disturb you rather than calm you down, and that's really cool: it's a very great disturbing post-industrial album, it's also anxious and sad. What really shocks me is the meaning of the whole album, apparently Jamie's father killed himself and they promised (that's why it's called A Promise) to ... read more
On their debut album, Xiu Xiu often uses a harsh, loud and chaotic, messed up experimental sound, but mixing it with calming, ethereal and echoed synths, plucks and whatever is even going on in those songs. It's a really "good mess" of tracks with some hidden fantastic gems.
Don Diasco 10/10 ⭐⭐
It really hit me when I first heard it, it's beautiful. The desperate loud voice, the chord progression, the energy and the nostalgic and depressive feeling it gives is crazy.

"Music Has The Right To Children" is an essential collection of downtempo ambient songs, with an ethereal, space atmosphere mixed with groovy, IDM and Hip Hop drums. Most of those long tracks revolve around a calming psychedelic melody that slowly progresses adding more instruments, vocal chops or samples. It is very similar to Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works" but with more ambient and less repetition. While it's really great, there are some flaws like ... read more
"Flower Boy" is a really great album by Tyler, full of fun and chill out moments. The tracks are all connected by eachother and it's a really cool track list full of well made and enjoyable songs. It has a summer feeling, full of warm, powerful jazzy chord progressions, instruments and he delivers a nice rapping. He also mixes some chiptune sound effects in the beat or simply some cool and wacky effects common for Tyler and the classic onomatopoeias by him.
