Sorry for taking way too long to say but thank you all for 100 followers!!!!!! I'm geniunely grateful to see that I'm getting any attention and support from anybody liking my posts and those who took the time to comment It means alot. Now my review.
This is the most fascinating album that Coldplay has ever made in the sense that it's the one that catches you the most off guard and reminds you what the band is actually capable of nearly 20 years since their debut. 4 years before ... read more
This is the most frustrating Coldplay album to me. This is like technically doing more than Ghost Stories and even Mylo Xyloto in terms of how much is going on in the songs but dude I cannot lie I just felt absolutely nothing throughout most of this album with the exception of two songs. Ghost Stories was the worst performing Coldplay album yet and this album feels like the reaction to it. It's blatant pop production but almost no song even the more laid back ones are produced to sound ... read more
I was honestly gonna rate this lower then Mylo off first listen but it did grow on me a little on the listens after. This album, barring one song, is them basically taking it down a notch after making a row of albums that seemed like they were trying to go bigger and bigger. "Ghost Stories" is an ambient and subdued record, I could see someone being incredibly bored of the album and getting nothing out of it but it did win me over slightly, hearing Chris be at his lowest tone and to ... read more
We're actually getting album of the year oh my god. This song really makes me wonder how the full overarching story of this album will play out, I think that this will be earlier in the track-list then GODSTAINED. The relationship described in MONDAY might be a motivator for Quadeca wanting to sail the sea, who knows we'll only get the full picture when the album comes out.
This is Coldplay taking a U-turn from the road the took with Viva La Vida and making a sharp correction to the pop highway. If I had to imagine what the sound and feeling of the genre Pop-Rock would be, this album would be that. Its taking the energy of early 2010's EDM pop music with Coldplay's style of music making. I do think this album is still recognizably Coldplay songwriting, with only a few exceptions that make it more apparent how they really wanted to go universal by going ... read more
I understand it now. This took a few weeks to really sink in for me and I'm glad it has. I honestly am kinda surprised that this seemed to be the album that people were immediately banking on when it came out, I saw nothing but love for it and people that didn't even like Jane Remover that much were loving it, it's surprising to me for the reason that this feels like her most difficult album on first listen, her first two albums are noisy and a abrasive in places but ... read more
I'm really glad I get the vision for music like this. I thought music like this would take me forever to get into or I would have to make it work for me eventually but first full listen and I just get it immediately, this album isn't some grudgy ugly music about suicide it feels like a genuine catharsis for going through dark places in your life. This album came from a real place of suicidal thoughts and dark depression that was persisting through Dan Barrett's, the man behind ... read more
Coldplay, at a crossroads on how to change the perception of the band after a wave of pushback against their music from the general public, who seemed to just get sick of them, took the direction to become more creative, imaginative, and sonically varied with their next album, "Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends." Brian Eno comes in as producer to shake things up and change the work ethic and style of the band that creates music. What we got was an extremely solid collection of ... read more
Okay, I'm enjoying this noticeably more; that's cool. This is the album I think the 'Coldplay Backlash' started to settle in, and suddenly everyone got sick and tired of them, which there are a few different angles to take to see why that happened and why they were considered the new 'U2.' Coldplay wasn't trying to surprise; if you liked 'Parachutes' and 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head,' 'X&Y' is basically just another helping of ... read more
A little underwhelming, honestly... It's still good, though. I really thought, based on other reviews, that this might be my favorite Coldplay album, but honestly, I'm not feeling this one nearly as much as their debut. I pinpointed my somewhat lukewarm feelings on this to, I think, the sound of the album. It's just as clean and well-made as Parachutes, but the drums, piano, and guitars sound mostly bland to my ears. I'm really not quite entirely satisfied with how this ... read more
Alright the Coldplay journey has officially started. A band Ive honestly never had any strong feelings for in the slightest but others really do. I just listened to this album on a whim honestly one day during work cause it felt like the right time. I gotta say this is genuinely solid stuff and I think lays the foundation of what early Coldplay sounds and feels like. "Don't Panic" is a genuinely dour and down song starts the album off with a pretty sad start lyrically, musings ... read more
BCNR Still got it, without a doubt. Sonically this really feels like the next direction to go in after AFUT. It's more digestible but still keeps all the quirks of the band, with the obvious big difference being the vocals, now done entirely by Tyler Hyde. Her voice isn't as unique and individualized as Isaac's was, but I think Tyler's fits much better in the slightly new direction the band has taken their sound. I couldn't imagine Isaac's vocals over these songs ... read more
The production feels so much cleaner and clear than Scarpyard and I Didn't Mean To Haunt You I didn't really expect this that much honestly. The lyrics definitely show that this is gonna be a concept album of sailing at the seas and exploring the world I really wonder how this will be expanded upon on the rest of the album, I wouldn't say this as a single blew me away but I think it's definitely a really pleasant surprise. Makes me even more excited for the album!
I AM THE MUSIC. Playboi Carti, after setting himself up to probably be an even better liar and fraud than Kanye when it comes to releasing music, has finally released his long-awaited album since 2022, "MUSIC." It has gotten the exact response you would expect from a Playboi Carti album, which is, of course, a very strong love or hate for it. I do remember that hate slowly dying down on release day on Twitter, but I still do see shit talk on TikTok. Anyways, how do I feel about this ... read more
I remember before I listened to alot more music than I have today I tried this album out and it did not work at all for me, I was very overwhelmed and surprised by the first three songs that by the end of "Once in a Lifetime", a song I did really like and still do of course, I just kinda gave up and thought that the album was too much for me, after listening to a lot more albums and feeling like I've become way more open to new sounds and stuff I haven't heard this album is ... read more
I mean yeah it's solid as fuck. It feels like even though obviously MAGDALENE and Esuexua came out after this feels like kind of the middle of that in terms of music accessibility. Nothing feels obvious and easy entirely but it definitely doesn't have the more experimental and twisted featured in the production of MAGDALENE, its a nice sweet spot between the two. And it's very impressive being a debut album that from an artist that sounds this confident and certain at the music ... read more
Yeah fuck man this is really good, I listened to this like over a whole month ago but forgot to write a review but honestly glad I waited until now cause it grew one me crazy, this is such a consistent focused album. "Cheerleader" is a knockout single that handles the topic of para-social fan relationships between musicians extremely well and the production is fucking bright and astounding. "Russian Roulette" is my favorite of the album, perfect song don't even care ... read more
Haunted and Mindbending. This feels like an album that took 4 years to make, I've always seen and heard about this album for awhile not having a single clue what it sounded like or know why it was celebrated so much when it came out and even the years after it did, and also wondering what the hell future is doing there. I can't believe I didn't hear this earlier and I waited this long what a chump I am. "thousand eyes" is a great slowburn opener for this, it's ... read more
I genuinely don't have much to say on this besides it feels like Twigs taking her style and charm and making something that is more accessible and honestly it feels like it waters down the music a lot. The mix-tape has good opening and closing tracks being "ride the dragon" and "thank you song" but honestly the journey in this just feels kinda unfocused as a whole with some pretty lackluster songs across the tracklist. I know it's not really meant to be on the same ... read more
We get it bro you have sex. The final Mac Miller album left to listen for me and it's a pretty interesting one, for "The Divine" he makes a full turn into a Neo-Soul and Jazz rap with varying results but still makes for an almost entirely solid listen. I'm honestly surprised at how high rated and how high streamed the opening song "Congratulations" is it's like just a pretty good opening ballad type song to help metaphorically open the gates to the album but ... read more
