As someone who was born and raised in the Northwest, it really does feel like sleeping in a tent on a rainy night in the middle of a dark forest.
The atmosphere is exceptional, and the vocals compliment the atmosphere beautifully.
The rain samples really make the album sound complete, and it's beautiful in a way.
Black Metal is usually pretty hard to get into as a genre, but this is probably one of the better gateway bands to get someone in the genre.
I've never felt so sad, yet so... Calm, for an album before. The album starts simple, but ends like as if someone shut the white noise from a TV off. It's something truly unique.
To be fair, this is the first post-rock crescendocore album I've fully experienced before, but it's very... Dreading, and melancholic, the title track itself almost made me shed a tear, which is extremely rare for me. Yet it almost did. Truly, it's an album worth listening to.
