About a year and a half before i started on this site, i didn't listen to much music. Apart from my family's playlists and obsessions of old, i mostly just stumbled across songs on YouTube videos. Well, it was like that, until one day when i came across a band that really peaked my interest. A band named Tally Hall.
At first, i only knew two songs, Ruler of Everything and Banana Man, but i really dug 'em at the time. During this time, i still had scoliosis, so i ... read more
Hello again.
To be honest, I don’t even know how I went this far without reviewing again, but I know I don't want to keep this account dead, so it’s time to reanimate a corpse!!
If anyone remembers me, great!! If not, hi!! I don’t think that tidbit will matter too much. While my way of speaking and expressing is still similar, I've experienced a ton of personal growth since the last time I posted. So either way, I view myself as a different person that’s also ... read more
Woah… SZA as a bug looks really cool!! Can’t wait for Kendrick’s fursona tho… he’d wag his tail around and shout “THEY NOT LIKE FLUFF!!!” And then- then he’d move his ears and stuff, man… can’t wait…
NOTE: I WILL WRITE AN ACTUAL REVIEW
The cover is like proto-100 gecs pilled.
Really good debut for the duo, the sound of it grew on me on second listen and it clicked better. Unfortunately, it's 52 minute length does drag near the end and if you aren't a big fan of this type of music you might not like it a lot, at least on your first time checking it out. Still, it's really neat and i recommend it specially if you're into some more bleep bloop type of music.
Quick flash of RAW, EXPLOSIVE GRINDCORE that leaves a mark on you despite it only being 13 minutes. This album does not give you time to really analyze or take a breath, just bask in it's pure aggresiveness. I fucking love it, shoutout to @FatherGary for the rec.
This might be a fantastic year for Indie Rock.
Friko's "Where we've been, Where we go from here" is Indie Rock done right. An album with both beautiful slower songs and hard hitting explosive tracks all packed in a slightly compact 36 minutes. This and plastic death are part of a fresh wave of distinct, energic Indie that boosts 2024 early on the year. Absolutely impressive record.
