Black Sabbath - 13

Black Sabbath: 19
Good Songs: "End Of The Beginning", "God Is Dead?"
Bad Songs: None

Ozzy Osbourne finally returns as vocalist for Black Sabbath on this record, and his voice still sounds great on this record. Ozzy Osbourne completely blows all the other Black Sabbath vocalists out of the water --Except for Dio-- and his voice really pushes this record forward. The Instrumentals on this record are a step above the previous few records, and Tony Iommi's guitar work on ... read more

Black Sabbath: 18
Good Songs: None.
Bad Songs: All.

Jesus this is genuine shit, from the uninspired instrumentals that verge into literal garbage and the straight up annoying vocals. The only thing that this record has going for it is it's production, and even then the production is just basic at best. It's not worth it, let's just leave this piece of shit in 1995.

Black Sabbath - Cross Purposes

Black Sabbath: 17
Good Songs: None
Bad Songs: All

Tony Martin doesn't sound good at all on this record, and he just sounds plain bored, like he is just doing this for a paycheck. Honestly pretty bad vocals, a close second to "Born Again" when it comes to shitty vocals. The instrumentals are boring and uninspired, with it being similar quality to "Born Again". The instrumentals are pretty bad honestly, not much here at all honestly. Overall a pretty bad record to be ... read more

Black Sabbath: 16
Good Songs: "Computer God", "TV Crimes"
Bad Songs: None

Ronnie James Dio returns as vocalist on this album, and his voice really pushes it to new heights. Tony Martin is a decent vocalist and all, but he is absolutely nothing compared to Dio in just sheer talent. Overall a major improvement in the vocal department. The instrumentals are pretty good, with it not getting repetitive and boring, and staying fresh and new most of the time. Overall a good album, ... read more

Black Sabbath: 15
Good Songs: "Jerusalem"
Bad Songs: "Anno Mundi",

Tony Martins vocals on this record is pretty much the same honestly, so there really isn't much to talk about when concerning his vocals. Although Black Sabbath is pretty clearly running out of ideas lyrically wise, and just musically wise overall, as this is just "Headless Cross" but about Vikings.
Again basically the same, some riffs from Tony Iommi are a little higher quality than they ... read more

Black Sabbath: 14
Good Songs: "Headless Cross"
Bad Songs: "The Gates of Hell" (I don't really like intros, sometimes they work, but normally they just are skippable.)

Tony Martins vocals on this record are an overall improvement from their previous record, with him trying some slightly different styles on this record. He sounds more individual too on this record, with him not really sounding like a wanna-be-Dio as much as he was on their previous record: "The ... read more

Black Sabbath: 13
Good Songs: "The Shining"
Bad Songs: None (They basically sound exactly the same through the entire thing.)

Better than their previous record, but it is still nothing compared with their early material and gets quite samey by the end. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it, at least it isn't forgettable. For this record they have Tony Martin on vocals, and yeah he's alright; Kind of sounds like a rip off, low-testosterone version of Dio, but his ... read more

Black Sabbath: 12
Best: None
Worst: "No Stranger to Love"

Easily the most forgettable Black Sabbath record out there, I can barely even remember what it sounded like a day later. It's not particularly bad record out there, it is just the most basic one out there, it's like the read a pamphlet on how to make a Rock N' Roll record and just did that without innovating anything. The guitar work and vocals are better than "Born Again" at least. Overall an ... read more

Black Sabbath: 11
Good Tracks: No songs are good on this record.
Bad Tracks: All of the songs are bad.

Ian Gillian is a laughably bad fit for Black Sabbath, their previous vocalist --Ronnie James Dio-- was a far better fit and just a better vocalist in general than Ian Gillian. The actual playing is alright, but Tony Iommi's guitar sounded bad at times, and the drums aren't the most audible. This album has no point in it's being, and one of the worst Black Sabbath records out ... read more

Black Sabbath: 10
Best: "Turn up the Night"
Worst: "E5150"

Black Sabbath returns with yet another great record, with Dio still on vocals. This is a bit more doomy than their previous record, with "Turn up the Night" sounding like a track straight out of "Sabotage". This record gets a little samey after a while, but it's still a enjoyable listen. Black Sabbath's sound has changed a lot in the past decade --1970-1981-- and they have had their ... read more

Black Sabbath: 09
Best: "Neon Knights", "Heaven and Hell"
Worst: None

This is the first record without Ozzy Osbourne, with Ronnie James Dio doing the vocals for this record. Pretty big stylistic change for Black Sabbath, but still a good record. And a absolute comeback for them.

Black Sabbath - Never Say Die!

Black Sabbath: 08
Best: "Never Say Die"
Worst: None (they all suck except for the title track)

Literally the same album as "Technical Ecstasy" except worse, the riffs are weak, the vocals are weak, and the drums are good--but then again Bill Ward is one of the best drummers in the entire genre so yeah. Boring Hard Rock record, doesn't sound like Black Sabbath at all, and Ozzy Osbourne is definitely half in it, same as Tony Iommi. Overall the first bad Black ... read more

Black Sabbath: 07
Best: "Back Street Kids", "Dirty Woman"
Worst: "She's Gone", "It's Alright", "Rock N' Roll Doctor"

Black Sabbath fall off pretty hard after "Sabotage" honestly, this record doesn't even sound like then. Think of the most boring a average Rock N' Roll record and this is it, they lost most of their personality on this record, and the riffs are weak as hell. It feels like they just released ... read more

Black Sabbath: 06
Best: "Symptom of the Universe"
Worst: "Am I Going Insane"

The first half of this record is incredibly strong, with "Symptom of the Universe" being kind of proto-thrashy. But by the second half it completely falls apart, and drags on for way too long, with an incredibly dull and boring song structure. It just becomes super basic by the end. Overall a good album, but just listen to the A-side the B-side ain't worth it.

Black Sabbath: 05
Best: "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath"
Worst: "Fluff"

Slightly worse than their previous record, with the production being the main cause of that. It's still a good record don't get me wrong, but the production really drags this record out, and their is only one memorable track from this record --for the right reasons. Overall not a bad record, with some nice experimentation in it, but most of the tracks aren't very noteworthy and it feels ... read more

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath Vol. 4

Black Sabbath: 04
Best: "Wheels of Confusion", "Supernaut"
Worst: "Changes", "FX", "Laguna Sunrise"

Black Sabbath becomes more moody with this record, and it works pretty well for most songs from this record. Vol. 4 is unfortunately home to the most overrated Black Sabbath song in existence: "Changes", it is entirely absurd to me that such a song is hailed as the best from this record, despite nearly every song being consistently ... read more

Black Sabbath - Master of Reality

Black Sabbath: 03
Best: "Children of the Grave", "Sweet Leaf"
Worst: "Orchid", "Embryo"

Easily the best Black Sabbath album, in my opinion. They go for a more doomy sound with this record, and it really pays off. This record has some of the most replayable tracks on it, and is just such a classic. Overall an amazing record, and well worth the listen.

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
90

Black Sabbath: 02
Best: "Fairies Wear Boots", "Paranoid"
Worst: None

Black Sabbath returns with another classic, an amazing album --don't get me wrong-- but some of the songs off of this album are overplayed on the radio to their own detriment. It's similar in this way to Metallica's self titled record, with many of the songs off of it being quite good on their own, but being played way too much to the point were you begin to grow tired of them. This ... read more

Black Sabbath: 01
Best: "The Wizard", "N.I.B."
Worst: None(No tracks feel below the rest.)

Amazing record, and a timeless classic. This is widely considered as Heavy Metal's first "true" album, and I have to agree with them. Overall an amazing album, and a must listen for sure.

Mercyful Fate - 9

Mercyful Fate: 07
Best: "Last Rites"
Worst: None

Mercyful Fate ends their career with a bang, not a single bad album from them. This is my favorite record from them post 80s. Overall a good record, all thought it's slightly basic at times and the songs run together.
