Kind of needed this to be honest. This album feels like a mix of Pavement's work, Of Montreal, and The Velvet Underground for some reason.

They've still got it.

This is like a combination of IGOR minus the emotional foundation and CMIYGL's brash bars. I feel a touch of LCD Soundsystem production here as well for some reason. This is a jarring yet exciting combination that just works.

Mk.gee although giving us softer blows than his contemporaries doesn't hold back on giving a strange, catchy record that has an air of coolness surrounding it.

Even though we see clipping for the majority of this record talking about common subject matter, we see it being conveyed uniquely through sharp wordplay, Daveed's affinity for telling an engaging story and the experimental production that we see in their newer projects.
