My first Mitski album. I think of her like a strong bourbon I don't yet have the taste for, yet I will attempt to acquire it with her previous albums.
Storytelling at its finest, and holy house in Nebraska, it sounds good.
I played this on repeat to soundtrack my last breakup. We were just breaking up while this album played on repeat. Romanticize everything.
Listened to this in anticipation of her new record coming out in a couple weeks - this was like really good!

I had such a fun time with this album when I was 21. It isn’t super deep and I loved the fun beat and easy to understand lyrics. It’s still such a fun listen, but I think the score I gave it truly represents it. They are such a cool band and I love most of what they make, but sometimes they re-use too many ideas, like changing the outro or all the interludes. I still think this rocks though. Happy to get to dance to this sometimes.
