Taylor Swift - Red (Taylor's Version)
84

This is a fantastic album! It is also WAY too long! Clean production and awesome writing throughout, but there is some filler in here and nobody can genuinely sit through the full two hours and not get a little tired. Best cover of the “Taylor’s Versions” in my opinion.

HAIM - Women in Music Pt. III
84

This is such a great album holy. This got me into HAIM and they are such a specific vibe, and it’s highly enjoyable. I understand it’s AOTY nomination completely. I have the same amount of fun every single listen.

Miley Cyrus - Plastic Hearts
79

This is cohesively pretty solid. Love the theme, it suits her and her voice so well. I think she lacks some of the depth in writing here that we can see in her previous work. The production is so 2020.

Gracie Abrams - This Is What It Feels Like
77

This is honestly pretty solid, but it finds Gracie taking a lot of safe routes. She’s so cute and I love how everything since this EP has been a step up. Very solid proof of authenticity here.

Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk
90

This astonishing album is always the most fun to listen to. You’ll hear something new every single time. Honestly opened my ears to what music can sound like the first listen, and every listen after. Forever obsessed and a fan. Iconic.

If only someone knew the story like really well, I wanna read it like a book.

Kesha - Warrior
80

Honestly ahead of its time. Has aspects that remind me of both MAYHEM and BRAT. This album is full of hits from 2012 and it’s nonstop fun. Might have some childhood bias, but this is Kesha sounding her best musically.

Addison Rae - Addison
84

An absolutely beautiful debut album from Ms. Addison Rae. Who was shocked? Who was gagged? Who can’t stop playing these hits? I cannot wait to see where she goes after this. Totally deserved the GRAMMYS nod for Best New Artist. This album is true artistry and I think it perfectly hit the nail.

Charli xcx - Brat and it's completely different but also still brat

Wonderful remix album full of great songs and collaborations. Kesha on Spring Breakers tanks the overall rating. Deeply profound work here.

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
86

Makes you fall in love with him, deadass.

Bruno Mars - The Romantic
69

Like, he would've been better off expanding the music that he was making with Lady Gaga, Sexyy Red, and ROSÉ.

Harry Styles - Fine Line
89

Writing this review exactly one week before his fourth studio album, "Kiss All The Time. Dance Occasionally." comes out. I must say, I think this is his best album so far. The catchy tunes, the unique instrumentation, it is so cool to have a male pop artist understand the assignment. Super rare, and I cannot wait for each and every project by him.

The Weeknd - Dawn FM
80

I fully appreciate how committed to the radio station bit The Weeknd was here.

I think this is such a great album, but I also find myself forgetting about it all too often. Jim Carrey, wherever you are, I hope peace is with you.

Mumford & Sons - Prizefighter
59

Mumford & Sons has always been a band I had heard of, but never truly looked into. What caught my attention about this album is the Gracie Abrams feature, which I also found to be my favorite song on the record (this is me claiming bias). However, the record as a whole was not very special to me. While I found some decent fondness for a couple of songs, such as Alleycat, Icarus, and Prizefighter, I did not find an overall feeling of enjoyment after my completion of this semi-long album.

hemlocke springs - the apple tree under the sea
72

I think the most rewarding part of this listen is only achievable by those who have been following hemlocke springs since she first began teasing 'girlfriend' on TikTok by intoxicating us with the bridge. While I am not completely in love with the record, I can fully confirm that it is due to my own personal taste rather than the quality of this project. She has reached a new level of artistry after being given the space to do so. She is so complete here, and I can tell that she had a ... read more
