also a surprisingly accurate cover: someone should be in prison for this album.
kanye keeps innovating being the first artist alive to release a posthumous record.
Favourite tracks: Parts of 530...Slide, I guess? (It feels like the only complete track), parts of RIVER...parts of SKY CITY.
Least favourite tracks: Almost all of this, particularly Bomb though.
the cover is surprisingly accurate as there is a lot of ass in this record.
favourite tracks: burn, PARTS of Back To Me, Stars, PARTS of Keys to My Life.
least favourite tracks: Paid, King, Problematic, Beg Forgiveness, FUCK SUMN, Carnival, Hoodrat (genuinely one of kanye's worst tracks ever)
Kendrick Lamar is a name that -in 2024 specifically- has been on everyone's mouth at some point. From his overly conceptual body of work, to his layered lyricism, to his dynamic voice, to his sensitive ear for great beats to absolutely killing Drake on wax. His career has been celebrated by critics, rap fans and the general public through grammy's and pulitzers.
That said, when talking about Kendrick, the majority of people would point to "To Pimp a Butterfly" as the most ... read more
Emo kids are eating this week, Paramore, Linkin Park and Pierce The Veil releases on the same day?
It's been a while since PTV made the rounds in the music scene after their previous release, Misadventures, back in 2016. The behind the scenes drama that plagued the band gave uncertainty to the fate of the band. To be honest, even with all of their flaws, I have a soft spot for the band as they were a crucial part of my teenage years. Even if the group's shortcomings have become more apparent ... read more
At this point, I had actually lost hope that MCR would be dropping again. Glad I was proven wrong. While only time will tell if the song's gonna be as iconic as the band's enormous backlog of classic tracks, it's still a really good song with some really great writing elevated by Gerard Way's trademark emotional performance.
What i like the most about the track, is that it feels like an evolution of what has come before instead of a retread. It's a different style of production for the band, ... read more
Holy fuck. Kendrick did it again, if life is truly perspective, then he'll be remembered as a life-changer.
A powerful statement backed by lamar's trademark excellent, thought-provoking writing and an amazing beat elevated by a groovy marvin gaye sample.
It's jazzy and heartfelt with an intense emotional climax. Kendrick season just starting.

you have no heart if you didn't hum and/or enjoy at least one of these songs.
it's memorable, bombastic, and elevates the game to incredible heights, and wins its place in the pantheon of best video games soundtracks as it's one of the best aspects in an already fantastic package and it does this with such a varied music palette, rarely does platformer music sounds like grandiose blockbuster music but this does and embraces it with such grace that it makes it look easy and makes you wonder ... read more
A laidback, carefree little EP by the weezer boys. While cute and wholesome, nothing here holds a candle to the band's best material in terms of staying power and enjoyability.
It's nicely produced and I can't say that there's a bad song here but it suffers from the same problem as Green where it starts blending in together to the point where it's hard to appreciate what each track offers. That being said, Rivers' cheerful attitude throughout the record makes Spring one of the most feel-good, ... read more
not even half bad tbh.
weezer's christmas ep was the first recording of the band after pinkerton and it's the blueprint for what would eventually turn into the green album's sound and structure, which isn't really that interesting.
it's sterile, rivers sounds completely and utterly uninterested and the production sounds a bit too compressed. That being said, I don't think it's terrible. Like the green album, the melodies are pretty nice and, while the lyrics are incredibly generic, i don't ... read more
I'm actually surprised by the mixed reception because, while it's not the best weezer song out there, it's thoroughly enjoyable and inoffensive.
Hell, I think it's cute. It brings back that juvenile, almost whimsical attitude weezer had on their first album and it's probably the most laid back, feel-good single they've released since island in the sun.
It has some charm, really decent lyrics, and a great vocal delivery by Cuomo. Sure, some of the elements don't really feel like they belong ... read more
Kanye legit once wrote "how can you be so Dr. Evil?" and I think we still haven't recovered from that.
If you told me you think this is the worst song you've ever heard, i'd probably believe you, but if you told me this is one of your favourite pop rock songs from the early 2000's, i'd also believe you.
It's full of punk's most annoying lyrical clichés, an annoying vocal delivery and some outadated production choices but, at the same time, it's raw energy, catchy instrumentation and a simple yet memorable leading guitar riff that will not leave your head for a while makes it at least a ... read more
It's been a while, hasn't it? I knew I had to come back to this website and rise from the depths of inactivity for another god forsaken weezer album. As a big fan of weezer myself (i know my tastes are trash dont mention it), I was looking forward to since last year, grabbing every little piece of info i could on it as the concept itself seemed very bold for a band that's known for keeping it relatively simple (sometimes, to a fault. It quickly became one of my most expected of last year and ... read more
I fucking love pulp, i don't give a shit anymore. Another 100.
Help the Aged follows the traditional Pulp song formula, all of the great elements that make a good pulp song are found here. Sardonic lyrics that touch upon a certain aspect of life, Cocker's unique, excellent performance and a fantastic instrumentation, but what elevates the track for me is how great said instrumentation and the lyrics are.
Instead of the infectious, simple keyboard line of Common People or the guitar fueled ... read more
