What a long ass title!
Rolling Stone giving this a perfect score and not for Renaissance (which now is on their best albums of all time while this isn't)... Some consistency would be nice
Watered down R&B and House (then again, what Ariana Grande album isn't a watered down version of whatever genre she's into?) Still, I put it up there with (maybe not exactly 'up there', but pretty close to) Sweetener.
Also: we finally got white people drill and I'd love to find out what everyone thinks of it. For me, yeah I think I'd rather have a cockroach claw my eardrum out. Most everything else is pretty good, though.
Edit: i think it sounds a lot more ... read more
Good album, but she takes herself too seriously to give us the pop euphoria and campness of the og Pink Friday. Nothing offensive, but there's also no standout songs so much as there are standout moments within and between songs. Still, the absence of a single bad song is a pretty big achievement considering Nicki's history and how many tracks are on this.
It's a (fairly) fun album if you're super into pop. Spare yourself from Muddy Feet and all its successors (save for Wildcard if you're a huge Miley Cyrus fan) - Wonder Woman, especially, takes itself way too seriously.
There's something inherently unsatisfactory about an artistic product with no concept other than sticking to status quo. The production wasn't bad, just retrograde, and the lyrics are "sex for the sake of sex". The result is a very unintelligent, directionless and (shockingly) non-erotic EP.
