Honestly when this came out I couldn't believe what I was listening to, and I'm still so happy that I got to experience this album ON RELEASE.
Alright alright now I know this will seem a bit out of place, BUT there's a reason it's one of my top 10 most listened to albums EVER. I think the main thing that sold me was HYAENA, but so many other songs have that same effect.
I'm surprised I didn't review this already, but yes I love this album so much even now. There was a time where I actually couldn't get enough of this album, and there are still some songs from this album that remain within my rotation.
Now I've listened to this a countless number of times, and I still do not enjoy it through and through. However, the last part of the album is an amazing track run; one of the best I've seen from Carti.
Granted I feel the live album is much better, this still holds true to its authenticity and compassion, thus making it a great album.
I'll probably need to relisten to this album, but yes considering it from an abstract hip-hop perspective it nails every goal it means to strike.
This album single-handedly birthed what is arguably the greatest hip-hop song of all time (Doves), and it deserves a high score for that. Not to mention the rest of the album is pretty good too.
That's a lot of people who don't like it that much and I don't get why. I found it very good, but, then again, what don't I find good.
Call me biased but I love free jazz, especially from the greatest himself.
An album representative of the serenity of the digitization of the world.
I think it's cool, granted I don't fw it as much, but in the future I will most likely do so
This was nice. It's good to hear normal noise once in a while, rather than harsh noise.
After a relisten, I'll say that this is really enjoyable and calming. One issue is I've never heard a studio album from this group before, but I think the serenity displayed through the live recording makes up for that.
