Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway

@frogofprog thank you for urging me to listen to this work of art.

This album is perfection to a standard that I haven't come across before, to the point that this will serve as a gold standard for me in terms of future albums that are eligible for the 100.
Sure, the quality is exemplary and I will be commenting on that throughout the review but this album shines because it's a purposeful story with a revolutionary concept, not just a random assortment of flawless tracks or even a ... read more

Pusha T - DAYTONA

A truly solid album with an extremely consistent quality. The combination of stellar lyricism and enthralling beats allows this album to sound effortlessly infectious. As far as a 21 minute album goes, it really doesn't get any better than Daytona but unfortunately with a run-time so short, its potential was capped from the very beginning.

Little Simz - Lotus

Another amazing album from little Simz with an equally brilliant cover to match.
This truly soulful album encapsulates everything great about her music. She isn't just rapping, the vulnerability and the passion in which she conveys her message are (as always) outstanding.
As an album, it's extremely cohesive and succinct throughout but, there are moments where the quality clearly dwindles and ideas -such as 'young'- weren't realised to their full potential. That being ... read more

Morning,
I thought I'd get back into the swing of music and what not with summer fast approaching but I couldn't just haphazardly jump into something mid so instead I'm listening to peak.
I would refer to the song titles but I'm not even going to try to pretend like I can spell them so apologies in advance if it's unclear what I'm referring to.

Wait. wtf?!
This is actually peak!!!!!
Elements such as the crazy intro (which later transposed into the calmer jazz ... read more

Well this has been quite a long time coming (sorry frog) but I thought I might as well review this ep if I'm planning to listen to the newer one to at least see what progress has been made.

Now then on to the review itself,
It starts off with the 2 longest tracks on the album, which is an odd choice considering that an intermission from one of the shorter songs could've probably fit in-between to change things up, but then again its not as if any of the songs are in need of a boost ... read more

The album being quite liked paired with the name 'yves tumor' among the producer list made me decide to listen to this album

It's really unique and it engulfs you entirely as it tries to depict it's story that ultimately comes off as directionless.
A lot of the words are incoherent and I'm unsure when I'd ever be able to listen to this. I can see the appeal but I guess it's just not for me. Their intentions to create a piece that transcends the barriers of ... read more
