I love laufey so much and it’s so lovely seeing where her current styles began, however that is what a lot of it feels like, abit unfinished or like a draft? Each song has great potential but only some reach that so I can’t rate it too highly !
A stunning album , reminiscent of sufjan Stevens which is never a bad thing. Each song tells an individual story , some basic yet digging into the invasive parts and some heartbreaking and true . My favourite was by far lonely gift, absolutely shattering, loved the very real, lyricism aswell as the peaceful instrumentals. Wasnt overly infactuated with the album, but definitely some bangers with some fun instrumentals. Some songs felt like a skip although nice strong points sprinkled in, nothing actually bad just didn’t stand out loads to me !
Awesome , very nostalgic album. Incredible raw instrumentals and vocals and a lovely range of sounds whilst keeping it cohesive . Had some weak points with tracks like still take but nothing close to being bad. An iconic album for very good reason !
