Holy shit. Holy fucking shit.
This album is absolutely beautiful. The sound is just so amazing, and the lyrics are so bleak.
How I wish I had the writing skills to do this album justice.
The album's solid, the beats went decently hard but I didn't fuck with the vocals as much.

EDIT: 60 --> 72
Ok it's not THAT bad but im fully willing to say this is criminally overrated.
I got bored halfway through each of the 3 middle songs.
Tried taking in the meaning of the lyrics for Dogs. Didn't enhance my experience.
Tried taking in the sound going forward. Didn't feel enjoyable or enhance my experience.
I was called cringe for thinking this was mid. I didn't know not liking being bored was cringe.
EDIT: 68 --> 81
ok it wasnt nearly as boring on a second listen
i think listening to BROCKHAMPTON (mid) in the same day sorta tainted my mood.
The lyrics I'm sure are very personal and such, but I was too busy being bored out of my fucking mind to care.
The production on this album is nice ig but these fucking VOCAL EFFECTS make them sound like annoying children half the time.
This was fine for me ig. It sounded very annoying to me for some reason. I really don't care enough about this to elaborate.
EDIT" 65 --> 80
fuck you @jcooko you were right the album isnt bad
The album was pretty good, nothing i find AMAZING about it, but it's a solid album with solid writing.
On a first listen, it wasn't clicking for me. I thought the sound was an 8/10, but I didn't care for the lyrics at all. I've never been a lyrical individual tbf. But then I came back and listened to the lyrics with a synopsis for the meaning of each song open in another tab. Doing that really gave me a deep appreciation for these lyrics, especially as someone who has come close to death. The sound also clicked a lot more for me on a second listen. With this, I can definitively say:
Quad did.
I had listened to most of the album before putting it down for a bit because I was busy, but when continuing I decided to restart altogether. This was the right call, as I was able to enjoy it much more on a second listen and the problems I had with writing in the first half I didn't really mind. The production is fucking great and reminds me of Death Grips, but that may just be because the primary industrial hip hop artist I've listened to is Death Grips. Even on tracks where I didn't fuck ... read more
The guttural vocals, hard-hitting lyrics, and amazing instrumental comes together in this album to be an absolutely amazing punk album. Even better on a RL.
The shroud vocal performance of the singer here took a bit of getting used to, but once it clicked, it really clicked. The instrumental is great except for on the 2 songs with literally just vocals and guitar. An acquired taste, for sure, but very enjoyable once it clicks.
I had high hopes for this album, but boy were they too high, because while I was going into this album hoping to like it, I was disappointed to find it to be too slow for my taste at the slow parts, and too cluttered at the fast and hard parts.
The only 2 songs I can confidently say I like are Backseat girl and Idling Somewhere.

Ok a lot more clicked on a second listen and, while I don't imagine I re-listen to the individual songs as much as I do with my other liked music, I ... read more
I love how fun this album sounds. There are jazz, rock, ska, and pop influences I can hear in this album and it's beautifully pulled off.
Who knew swedes would make the best germans.
This is a really classic album with great production, bars, and some genuinely funny skits.
I mean, I like the second half a bit better than the first, but the album as a whole is just incredible, and frankly extremely impressive for a first LP.
The production and flows on this album are incredible, definitely deserves the praise it gets.
I wanted so badly to love this album like most others Ive heard and talked to does, but the lyrics didn't do much for me.
The sound is pretty good, but I just don't fw the album as a whole the same way others do. :(
WHATS GOOD is a fuckin' banger though.
