I feel very similarly to WLR as I do Die Lit. This album is very important to me and I’ve spent a lot of time listening to it and being obsessed with most of the track list, but I don’t like it as much due to the bloat and some of the tracks just not being that great.
It’s got more consistent lows than Die lit but I’d argue it has higher highs. Should this maybe justify me giving it the same rating as Die lit? Maybe, but my heart tells me not to
You ever have an album where every track is your favourite at some point or another? Die Lit was very close to being that album for me
This album is what really got me into music, along with Igor and Graduation, and out of those three it’s been the one I’ve relistened to the most and the one I think I love the most. This album just creates such an indescribable vibe that I can’t get enough of. If it weren’t for top this would be one of the best track lists. It has ... read more
I am Poo-sic
First of all I get that the appeal isn’t the same as a traditional carti album but blah blah blah I don’t care. You can say whatever you want and you can feel however you want, but from my perspective I have absolutely no reason to listen to this. Every other Carti album already gives me what I need in terms of his old sound and his new sound is super undefined and unrefined. I definitely like it more now than on a first listen but I still think this sucks

I used to go back and forth on which carti album was my favourite, and for a long time I was on the train that self titled was his best. I think I prefer Die Lit today, but it’s pretty close.
Self titled kinda falls off after No.9 but everything up to that point is amazing. Say what you will about it being repetitive but it just hits a certain part of my brain the right way. I’ll still get the hooks for most of these songs stuck in my head after years.
Sometimes I wish I could erase scaring the hoes from my memory. I love that album SO much that whenever I hear another JPEGMafia album I can’t help but compare the two. I wonder if I would like this album more if scaring the hoes didn’t exist, like is it me or the album?
It’s definitely not bad, but I don’t resonate with a lot of these tracks, JPEGultra is probably my favourite but that’s because I just love Denzel so much. I think I listened to this album like ... read more
I don't get how anyone could hear this and dislike it.
I don't care if my taste in music is for babies this is amazing.
MEGA MAN X.
THE GREATEST MEGA MAN SOUNDTRACK OF ALL TIME.
NO ONE IS PUTTING UP ANY CONTEST AGAINST X1.
OPENING STAGE, SPARK MANDRILL, ARMORED ARMADILLO.
THE GREATEST TRACKS IN THE WHOLE FRANCHISE.
I hate to pit my babies against each other, but Xenoblade 2's ost is even better than the first ones.
I'd say that XBC2 is more consistent with around the same amount of highs. Honestly they're both so great that it probably comes down to personal preference.
If we were talking gameplay, Xeno1 is way better, but this isn't a gameplay review
Did not realize that video game osts would be on this website. This is a major double edged sword. On one hand, this is great for me since I spend a lot more time playing video games than listening to albums, but on the other hand this means I have a whoooole lot more albums to rank.
Video game music is really hard to rank as a whole because how do you even approach these kinda track lists? There are 99 TRACKS on here, there is no way in hell that I'm gonna relisten to the ENTIRE ... read more
This was one of the albums that got me into listening to music more seriously and consciously, so I definitely have quite a lot of fond memories and biases towards it.
I can't say that I go back and listen to it very often nowadays, but I still looooooove it so much.
immediate classic from track one
Taboo comes close, but for me personally this is Denzels best.
They definitely knew they had something crazy on their hands with Dig Me Out, putting it as the first track and naming the album after it.
I really love the soundscape here, I don't know what her name is but the lead singers vocals are really really good. Some of the songs are a bit too samey and I get some of them mixed up in my head, but they're still great all the same. The lyrical content is a lil underbaked and the runtime is a bit too short but it's worth the listen. ... read more
I don't like it nearly as much as the base album, but it's good.
I wasn't a big fan of how the last three songs sounded but I think the lyrical content is pretty good. Obsessed and Girl I've always been are the obvious highlights for me. Obsessed starts off a little cringey (I dont know how else to explain it but that intro is just not it for me) but when it gets going IT'S ONE OF HER BEST SONGS OF MY GOOOOOOOODDDDD. I care a lot less for Girl I've always been but ... read more
My thoughts on this album are EXTREMELY biased. From an objective stance I'd say this is probably closer to an 8 or 8.5, but who cares about objectivity this is amazing. If you don't feel the same way about the album though I don't necessarily blame you.
There is not a bad track from front to back, the lyrics on Logical are a little too on the nose but I don't even care. There will be no valid and thought through criticism here I am just fan girling from now on. Olivia ... read more
Honestly, I respect Kanye for dropping this gigantic, bloated bombshell of an album.
Does it have any reason to be so long? Nope.
Does it have any kinda tangible reason for the quality and sound varying like he did on Pablo? Not that I can see.
Does it serve to make the album better in anyway possible? Kinda, but not in the traditional way.
Does this mean I dislike the album? Not at all.
Donda is a really weird case for me. I don't like listening to the album front to back often since it ... read more
I completely forgot about Jesus is King when making my 808s and watch the throne reviews, now this is 100% DEFINITIVELY my least replayed Kanye album (aside from everything Donda 2). I've only fully gone through the track list once.
I don't like talking bad about this album since I am clearly not the target demographic, but even if I was I don't know if I'd LOVE it or anything. That's the thing though, I'm not well versed enough in gospel music to tell if this is ... read more
Say what you will about All Mine being cringy or whatever you want, but this album is really solid, and I don't even think All Mine is that bad. The length definitely leaves a lot to be desired but what's here is enough to leave an impression. Really unfortunate that this is more than likely the last amazing Kanye album.
I don't think I'll ever forget listening to Ghost Town for the first time, It's definitely my favorite song on the album (I thought about killing you ... read more
My running theory with this album is that someone told Kanye that his albums needed more songs, since his albums from Graduation to Yeezus all have less than 13 songs. He prolly heard this and went "oh yeah? I can't make long albums? Watch this, I'll make another long album!" and the result is a pretty bloated, disjointed, yet somehow lovable tracklist.
I really don't know how he pulled it off, this album really should sound like a mess. Every track sounds different ... read more
I've gone back and forth on how I feel about yeezus over the years. I don't think it's the second coming or anything but it's pretty great.
My favourite song is probably Hold My Liquor or On Sight and my least favorite is blood on the leaves, I wish I could enjoy this song but I just can't get over the horns. It's definitely the most funny song on the album though, The part where he says runnin naked down the lobby or whatever he says is really funny because the ... read more
